I know most people here will be prepairing for the Winter Drags, but I thought I'll do my bit and advertise this. The following details have come from a member of another forum but thats the details. If your not going to WSID the following day please come out for a good cause.

We're also heading out to a local club afterwards for my 21st Birthday drinks!!!

Hey Guys,

I finally have a few more details about the Red Nose Day Car Cruise:

Date: Saturday 23rd June 2007
Start point: Silverwater Boat Ramp 10.00am
Destination: Penrith Regatta Centre (Penrith Lakes)

We have negotiated the use of Penrith Lakes the kind people at Penrith Regatta Centre. We will have our own exclusive area with plenty of parking, picnic tables, grassy areas, and toilet facilities.

Once again we will provide a bbq and drinks and this year we will probably have a jumping castle for the kids (to be confirmed). This is a great family day out, everyone is welcome, it doesn't matter what you drive, doesn't have to be a commodore in the past we have had everything from commodores to falcons and lasers, skylines and toranas (just to name a few!)

We will also be having a raffle, prizes will be confirmed closer to the event.

All proceeds from the day will go to Sids and Kids NSW. Sids and Kids provides support for individuals and families who experience the death of their baby during pregancy, birth and infancy. This includes miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death, sudden infant death (SIDS) and the death of a child up to 6 years of age.

More details to come soon, including cruise route, list of sponsors and prizes and entry fees so please check back here shortly.

I'll keep everyone updated just incase theres some interest but as I said Im aware the WSID day is the following day

WHY CANT YOU INCLUDE THE FAMILY AT THE DRAGS ?

WSID can be a rather barren place for the little ones. Not much of anything to do for them there either.

WHY CANT YOU INCLUDE THE FAMILY AT THE DRAGS ?

400klms from home, racing the maloo which means ill need to bring the calais as well for the kids, cost, kids will get bored, my missus has to drive the trip with the kids by herself and by the time the drags finish itll be definatlly late by the time we get home.
alot of reasons not to do it but im going to try and make it happen anyway. or at least i could bring my son with me in the ute, but then i would need a baby sitter while im racing down the strip.
try and work something out.
cheers tim
