Another internet forum is holding a track day at Oran Park on SAT JUNE 9TH
INFO:
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, REGARDLESS OF WHAT FORUM OR MARQUEE YOU ARE FROM... EVEN IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN ON A TRACK DAY BEFORE, COME ALONG I CAN GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL HAVE THE MOST FUN YOU CAN HAVE WITH YOUR PANTS ON
Everyone has been asking for a weekend track day at Oran Park and we now have confirmed the first of two for 2007? Sat June 9th as the day.
In association with Ian Luff Motivation Australia... we will still be offering the same relaxed style event with the emphasis on driver education and fun.
A quick overview...
? Maximum of 60 cars
? x4 Groups of 15 cars
? 15 minute sessions
? $220.00 per person, must be paid for upfront
? No "official" timing but you are allowed to have your own timing
? Driver briefing at 8.ooam.. if you will not be allowed to participate for the entire day
? First group on the track at 9.00am
? All new drivers will be taken on a site in lap with qualified instructor
John ?Bozzman? Boston as well as Ian Luff?s other highly skilled driver trainers will be on hand on the day to provide constant driver training to all AUTOsports patrons at the event.
? We will be stopping for a half hour lunch; with a bit of luck James and the AUTOsports crew will put on a BBQ at the track for everyone as well as a some cold drinks.
I will confirm details about passengers as soon as I can
Given the arrangement with Ian Luff Motivation Australia? ALL POSITIONS MUST BE PAID FOR UP FRONT WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS

Aeron, do you think it'll be oversubscribed ie do these days pack out? Won't be able to commit until after Wakefield. Am keen to try Oran.

I don?t know. At this stage, only 8 people have paid and there are 60 positions. But, I haven't done one of these particular days before so im not sure. Just have a look after Wakefield and if your tyres are still good, put your name down.

Hey Aeron ... I'd love to do this mate but weekdays are actually much easier for me. No one cares if I don't work, family cares if I'm not there on the weekend !!!
Sorry mate.

$220 seems a bit steep............$13,2000 for 60 cars.
How much does it cost to hire the track???????????
Is it the full track?
I'm still considering.
Cheers Jake.

I dont think $220 is too bad. There are only 34 cars on the list at this stage so there are positions left if anyone?s keen. Keep in mind it?s the Oran Park South circuit, so its not the full track, but you get to go on the best bits, like the Dogleg! :D

Looked like fun. Nice work man. Shame about the other damaged cars. I have driven in the wet at Wakefield before & it was really hard work, yet satisfying & rewarding. Definitely adds another dimension to driving your car purposefully  .
