Hi guys,

Dad's picking up a ute for utely duties soon, and he's found a nice HJ (or thereabouts) ute that ticks all the right boxes, but has no A/C.

He seems to remember hearing about a company who retrofit A/C to older cars in the form of a single unit that fits under the dash (with the obvious engine bay parts too). Apparently wasn't too expensive and worked beautifully.

Does anyone know about this, or about retrofitting A/C in general? Any recommendations for mobs in Sydney would be appreciated too.

Cheers,
- Febs.

I remember these from the 70's. Yep they worked really well but buggered if I can remember a brand. I can visualise one but alzheimers has the better of me.
