Hey, I'm csimpson (obviously :))

I may seem a little out of place here, but bear with me.

I drive a '95 Nissan Bluebird SSS. Yes, it's FWD. Yes, it's a straight-4. But hey, it's manual and has an LSD at least :) It'll need new brakes and new suspension soon enough, so I figure I may as well stick some Whiteline and RDA/DBA gear under it :)

I came on trackchat basically because Febs had been talking about it on another forum we both inhabit (OCAU, if anyone knows it). It just seems like a nice place with a pretty decent amount of knowledge on motorsport.

That's about it from me :)

Didn't that model Bluebird have Head-up display? Well as an option anyway. I think its the only car sold in Oz to have this until the last model M5.
This is where my Bluebird knowledge ends.
Oh yeah, welcome to the forum.

Oh yeah, welcome to the forum.

Not just the M5 ... my Dad has a current model 530i and it has the heads up display.

I thought it would be annoying but it's actually very cool.

Correct Ben, they did.

Welcome Simo :waving:

I've always been a big fan of the Bluebirds, great level of appointments for what you pay and they went pretty well.

Back in 1999 we had an original 83 Bluebird TRX

(alah George Fury for those old enough to remember)

If memory serves doesn't Mr Fury and his Bluebird hold the touring car lap record of Bathurst before The Chase was added to Conrod?
I don't know what part of my brain is responsible for storing information about Buebirds!!!

Welcome csimpson, look forward to seeing some mods.
Lugenpoper was once a bluebird driver.......I'm sure he has plenty of stories to share.

I don't know what part of my brain is responsible for storing information about Buebirds!!!

Firstly I think Fury's record stood for about 7 or 8 years (2:13.85) and is long gone compared to todays cars.

Secondly, you'll have to come up with something better than that if you want to convince the forum members that you have a brain. :hide:
