Bought a set of these HSV/AP brake kits from a mate (;)). To accommodate the new kit, also needed new rims/tyres, so went shadow vx gts 19's (they are copies, but you be hard pressed picking it) & Falken FK452 245/35/19 boots. Already had braided lines for the calipers, so completed the braided system by replacing the pair of rubber chassis brake lines with braids also. Here are a few photos of the brakes:
Before shot, with PBR PK1 330mm fronts & 17" rim:

After, with HSV/AP 350mm fronts in 19":

The only installation issue we had was that we had to dial out a fair bit of camber as the tyre was fouling the strut :headbang: . So, will have to investigate into a more permanent solution, possibly (read probably) coilovers.
After bedding them in, & going for the cruise through the national park this morning on the way to Picton karts, initial feedback is fantastic. This kit so soooo undervalued, its not funny. Relative bargain for what you get. Roll on Wakefield... I am ready :D.
Cheers to Maroubra SpeedShop ;). Owe you a  .

Nice work!! Those brakes and rims look nice!! What pads are you running??
Nice Erik, what are you doing with your old brakes?
Eibach have a spacer kit that widens the front wheels track. Dunc has seen them on the Eibcah site but I dont think anyone has ever used them.
Not long now to Wakey man :bravo:

Nice Mr K ... white SS, VX GTS rims, AP brakes, Falken FK-452 tyres ... clearly a man of great wisdom and impeccable taste.
I meant to say yesterday, if you want a hand with that other little kit you picked up on Ebay just let me know, more than happy to lend a hand.
:bravo:

An update on the brakes: they are awesome. After giving them some what-for at Wakefield today, I can honestly say I never encountered any fade (mustn't have been pushing hard enough ;)). I did out-brake myself into the last corner, but that was my own fault :headbang: . Repeatability & consistency. No cracked rotors :D; no real heat trauma, pads that work very well (DS2500), what more could you ask for??? Very undervalued kit imo. :yep: They look good, but more importantly, they do their job efficiently. Those that are thinking about buying the kit, lash out. You won't regret it :) .
Thinking about going up-spec to DS3000 for use as track-only pad & keep the DS2500 for street duties :up2sum: .

Well lots of people have given their impression on the street ... finally we have a true test !!! Good to hear they held up E, can't wait to try mine. I have to come for a run with either you or Bomi next time, I swear I brake 50m before you guys.
Erik I didnt have any brake fade yesterday at all and you know how hard I braked when you were in the car. Although, your brakes could do it for longer and harder and I guess that the whole point.
I will get some bigger stoppers soon!!
FYI peoples, standard sized DBA slotted rotors, Not 4000's, below them and some TS2000 pads. Good little combo and only costs about $450 all up, fronts only.

One tidy taxi you got there Mr K :bravo:
I know what I like and I like what I see.

Was out at Wakefield again today. The brakes were fantastic, again. Strong stops, every time. What surprised me was how good pad wear was/is with the DS2500. After 2 track days now, they haven't gone down much at all. Yes, they are dusty, but a small price to pay for such a good pad :bravo: .
