the baldy pastry chef from down south pulls another rabbit out of a hat lol!
The "backyard mechanic" peddled that glass windowed, rollcaged gold nugget real good today.

first pass was flawless it ran straight as an arrow, looking at the logger he left the line with 2.3 psi of boost and still managed a 1.544 60ft, 115.xx mid track mph 9.63 @ 144.8x,

unfortunately it threw the drive belt off, lucky it was not damaged, as we did not have a spare.

i advised mark to shift a little later in the rpm and give it some boost out of the hole, resulting in massive wheelspin, 1.7 60ft 116 mid track mph 9.8 @ 146.

got back to the pits popped the hood, we saw the ever so slightest amount of coolant around the plastic tank where the top rad hose connects, a closer inspection revealed a slight crack, the day was over.

there was slight dissapointment, as we really wanted another run, there is alot left in this thing, really ! we aimed not hoped for a 9 and got it.

Well done Mark, good driving mate, you have added another RUN to the BOARD.

im sure its safe to say this is the quickest ls1 single turbo, (again).

Leading Edge Tuning does it again.

As I said on LS1 ... congrats., it's an awesome achievement. Top notch driving to Mark, must be one hell of a ride at those speeds.

I have to say though, you could probably have made the post with a little less attitude.

I don't "blame" anyone ... I'm just one of many who's piss poor tired of the ongoing nonsense and as I said the pointless axe grinding serves no real purpose what so ever.

Accept congrats for what it is ... acknowledgement for a truely remarkable achievement and leave the axe out with the wood heap or on LS1. :yep:

Don't bring the nonsense over here. :waving:

Details on the exact config of the car would be interesting to read. I presume this was still with the turbo 400 and transbrake arrangement?

Well done Mark. Great result. It must be quite the adrenaline rush driving at that speed.

We must be playing cricket in here, everyone is talking about runs on the board :up2sum:

Could we have some information in regards to the turbo size? Is it an off the shelf jobby? Can it be puchased as a kit?

Edit: Looking at the pics on fullboost it looks pretty stripped ... A/c condensor gone, seats out, I presume bumper reinforcements gone.

Any other details? Is it still road registered?

Love the colour BTW ... :bravo: :D

weight reduction is, front seat, rear seat, carpet a/c, then it has a 6 point steel roll cage and a trans scatter sheild, which possibly replaces the weight reduction, we did not weigh the car, my guess is around 1720, but hey thats a guess. :)

it runs a th400 with a transbrake, m/t front runners, m/t slicks on steel wheels

bumper reinforcements are still retained, youd be mad to remove them.

Road registered.

Yep must be, when a batsman makes a run, they post it on the board, when a batsman gets caught out, they DONT post a run on the board. :)
please dont flame me, i dont know much about cricket. :)

The turbo kit is a custom one, built by screaming performance in wollongong.

No more weight needs to be removed, we need to get the car to hook up out of the hole, with a 1.5 60ft its a pretty bland time for a 9 sec car, the 60 should be in the high 1.3's

G'day Mark and Girch,

I haven't really made myself known to you before, but you may have seen me 'round the traps' - in an online sense any way. My name is Daniel. Its a pleasure to make your aquaintance.

Anyway, this is no disrespect to your achievements, which are really impressive, but I also need to say the following (which a few members have also expressed). It is my opinion that Trackchat was formed to get away from all the workshop bitching, chest-beating, propaganda and general agression that is often involved in motorsport.

There is no need to (albeit subtely) have a go at anyone. Especially in a thread that has nothing to do with anyone else. I beleive it's at post #7 you actually start a fight about mudslinging by yourself  :D

Anyway, the point is, this thread is exactly what Trackchat isn't about. Result posting ... always accepted. Continually posting workshop fights or agression towards other parties makes this thread a yawnfest. Which is a shame - as it was great hearing about the time and what was done to achieve it.

Now lets all hug. :)

What seedy said...

Congrats on an awesome time. Try to accept the accolades and be a little gracious - it'll work wonders... :yep:

Cheers,
Paul...
