Glad to have joined this friendly forum. My car is a vtss auto with tune & all the usual bolt-ons, but at the moment the car is at Marrano's getting a cam & other little goodies. Will this ever stop :headbang: it better or the mrs will :whip:

Welcome LS1VT ... will it ever stop, unlikely.

:D

Plenty of Marrano's customers here so we all share your pain, but it's all worth it. Hope you like the forum.

The cam is a Sonny special, other bits include 921 springs, push rods, rockers & ud pulley. Untuned the car is making 263rwkw which i thought was pretty impressive. Sonny recons there's more left in the old girl, so will have to wait & see whats left when it's finished. for attention to detail & great customer service.

Edit: Just realised this is a very old thread. :p

Any updates on what the car is now running after the tune?

:bravo: That's for sure, as for the end result, it's still ongoing, but so far

On the road the car feels so strong, especially down low. 1st to 2nd is bloody wild, even with 5 people in the car, she breaks traction very easy.Biggest surprise is fuel economy, average around 17ltrs per 100kms in sydney. I've recently installed 3 inch metal substrate cats and i'm thinking of replacing my 4-1s shorties for longer pipes. But next week it's off to Marrano's again to have a yank 3200 stally fitted, so the pipes might have to wait.

Nice car mate, that looks great !! :yep:

What wheels are they ?? 18's or 19's ??

I have a soft spot for white VT's - my first LS1 was a VT II SS. Might do one of them instead of a VX as my next circuit car... :up2sum:

Cheers,
Paul...

Thanks Paul, the wheels are 18's HP fusions.

I love it when people are honest about their fuel economy ... good to hear the car is going well.

Figures to be happy with indeed ... and a VT, does it get any sweeter? :D

The thing with that Nick is anyone who is keen on modifying their car, or putting performance parts on really shouldnt care too much about fuel consumption.

If we did it would be Vespa's everywhere :|

Nope, NEVER. The mods just get more expensive for smaller gains :headbang:

Well, i just got my car back from Marrano's today after having the stally fitted, & I have to say that the car feels so much better to drive, more refined and less jurky. But nail it off the line and :burnout: no traction what so ever. Deffinately need some MT radials if i wanna take it for a run down the qtr.

Agree 100% ... I'm just sick of reading people claim they get 12 - 14 ltrs / 100 kms "city driving". I don't care what they use, but you may as well be honest about it.

:yep:

My Coupe 4 is currently averaging 24 ltrs / 100 kms ... :D

I could'nt agree more, but as i said the fuel economy was a pleasant surprise.
