What is the meaning of life ?
Where do spectators sign up?
Can I arrive at say 11am? No

11am ??? Drag your bones out of bed with the rest of us and get there at 7:30 (or whatever time we are getting there ??? probably depends on how many bottles of Bookers Scat drinks the night before).

I was asking on behalf of members who may not know.
Here is another one.
What time frame are spectators required to arrive?
Can they leave and come back?
What is the meaning of life ?
Simple answer: 42
Extended answer:
According to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, a pan-dimensional, hyper-intelligent race of beings constructed the second greatest computer in all of time and space, Deep Thought, to calculate the Ultimate Answer to the Great Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything. After seven and a half million years of pondering the question, Deep Thought provides the answer: "forty-two." The reaction:
"Forty-two!" yelled Loonquawl. "Is that all you've got to show for seven and a half million years' work?"
"I checked it very thoroughly," said the computer, "and that quite definitely is the answer. I think the problem, to be quite honest with you, is that you've never actually known what the question is."
Once you have your ticket, yes.

A few quick questions Troy...
1) I want to put down a mates name as crew but he may have to work - can we make changes later ??
2) My car is still stock, will anyone race me and if so am i going to get whooped ??
3) My missus is going to kick a few people (Nick & Troy) in the arse for their comments on this very forum. Should she wear pointy toed shoes or my steel capped boots that i suggested ??
4) What time do we start ??
5) As it's the first time i've raced at a drag meet for years, what will i need apart from helmet, jeans and long sleeve shirt ?? Spare undies, cold beer ??
That'll do for now... :)

Why is water wet?
Why is the sky blue?
When are the roosters going to win a game of footy?
Who is going to win Bathurst?
Can I have a spectator ticket?

A few quick answers Paul :D
1) I want to put down a mates name as crew but he may have to work - can we make changes later ?? There are pleanty of crew and spectators passes so put his name down.
2) My car is still stock, will anyone race me and if so am i going to get whooped ?? It's not about who is the fastest its about having fun, and when bracket racing a old VW could beat the fastest car. See the "Drag racing" forum for 1/4 mile for first timers.3)
4) My missus is going to kick a few people (Nick & Troy) in the arse for their comments on this very forum. Should she wear pointy toed shoes or my steel capped boots that i suggested ?? Pointy as they will give better penattration on impact :yep: :lmao:
5)What time do we start ?? TBA and LOC TBA
6)As it's the first time i've raced at a drag meet for years, what will i need apart from helmet, jeans and long sleeve shirt ?? Spare undies, cold beer ??
Enclosed shoes, long sleevs and a helmet, brown undies are optional man !!

So far I have not received everyones details. Fellas. If I dont get them YOU WILL NOT RACE, not my rules, WSID's.
Of the returns I have received this is what's available to all those who want to come along and watch. These spots are for free, zero dollars, zilch, zip, nadah!!
Crew- 60 Spots available
Spectators- 59 Spots available
I will call John at WSID tomorrow and find out if I can just hand these out on the day or if they have to be allocated to a car and driver.
Will advise tomorrow,

For those with late arriving spectators....
At last outing I'm pretty sure driver tickets and spectator/crew ticketrs were all handed to the driver at the Shell garage meet point (cnr Brabham Dve and Gt Western Hwy).
If spectators weren't present at the time they were expected to contact driver or crew by mob phone during the course of the day, crew member/driver would then meet 'em at the gate to give them their entry ticket.
Spoke to WSID today and they un used Spectators tickets dont need to be allocated to a car or driver.
So just rock on up, grab a spectator ticket and your in for free. There are heaps and heaps of un used tickets.

I will be there in the tonner.
Would anyone like me to bring any or all of the following?
Air compressor, trolley jack, stands, ramps, tools, extra water containers, esky etc. The sort of stuff racers might want but dont want to carry.
Open offer for the trackchat racers.

That's the good thing about private days... you can leave stuff strewn all over the place without giving it a second thought. Like minded enthusiasts & all that. Personally, haven't ever heard of anything being nicked at a private day I have attended ('cept for NickS nicking himself :D).

9 - 9:30 !!! You are leaving home an hour later than us ... :lmao:
Don't take it personally guys, but most of us leave home well before 6 when going to Wakefield, so there will most likely be a few freindly jabs about "long drive".

On another note, scrutineering ends at 10am, 9:30 would be seriously pushing it, I would recommend everyone aims to be there by 8, if that is not possible then I think 9am is an absolute latest arrival time.

Yeah,yeah,yeah.... ok I'm not a real early morning person.
In my defence, traffic conditions at this time of year can be seriously hazardous down this way. Thick early morning Fog a likely problem, black ice, Snow? just look at last week.

potentially a have a cheer squad of 7 or so spectators showing up.
They wouldn't be arriving till later in the morning/day.
Do I grab a heap of tickets, then go and let them in at the gate as they arrive? or will the security guard let spectators in one by one till the 50 spectator passes are used up?
You get the tix Seedy then you let them in.
