Help with engine parts!!!

Im trying to find where to get a TBA TB.

They look great and have proven gains.

I tried the TBA website but its pretty crap, no prices or anything and alot of the buttons dont work for me.

Also I would love a Holley TB, they are dead sexy!!!! Anyone got any clues on that bit of shiny gear?????



I also am looking at a set of heads for the SS.

I am leaning towards some "Higgens" heads ATM.

Oh oh and a Inlet manifold, what one should I get.

I sound like such a newb :lmao:



Please help with links, info and pers experience.

I think you should ask Sonny what gains you could expect with these mods with your current cam? Especially in the case of heads it could be a lot of money for minimal gain with the cam you have.

CHE sell TBA gear i think.

Plenty of good heads out there to choose from depending on the budget....Higgins, Russo Performance, Dart to name a few.

How about a small convertor to give the SS a bit more punch?....perhaps a Yank or Dominator 2800 so it doesn't flare too much on the circuit.

TBA's are an undoubtedly good product and I've been dicking with the idea myself but have come to the decision that the money spent on a TBA/BBK/Starr etc TB would be better spent somewhere else.

Ask Sonny about TB changes and see what he says before you buy anything would be my advice.

They retail for 600.00 mola I think. Castle hill exhaust are a distributor for them. The best bet is to give them a call directly and pay them via bank transfer and they will courier it to you.
I got mine last year when I was in Qld last year. If you ring them you may even get a better price. Just tell them its a trade sale. :yep:

There is a thread somewhere floating around whe I had mine done. I think its a worthwhile mod if you are chasing every bit of pwr. The best gain i found was with throttle response, much much better. The car I think picked up a bit of torque and a few rwkw. Having onmated to an otr will see some real benifit.

PM sent on TBA TB, and id go bigger in the stall. i run a 3600 and with it being driven daily i havent had an ounce of trouble, id look at 4000 as a starting point.

No sure on the gains but i got 5rwkw going from a std tb, to a ported/polished version and i have just put the TBA tb on so id expect a minor gain on my application if any at all.

As for heads, everyman and his dog are getting the dart 205s. Personally i am looking at a set of Higgins and a set of US sourced heads. I guess it depends on personal preference and the setup u run at the time.
