I have a front and rear Brake kit to suit VT-VZ commodore.

specs as follows:

AP racing 4 piston silver calipers front and rear
330mm DBA 5000 series front (spare set of discs and hats also)
315mm DBA 4000 series Rear
DS2500 pads front and rear (also 1 x Ferodo DS3000 front pads 50% used,1 x Ferodo DS1-11 1 track day old, and 1 x Galfer 1055 front)
brackets
will also supply new front and rear Goodridge caliper lines and AP dot 5.1 fluid.

the front calipers are slightly discoloured from track use, but thebrakes are in very good working order. the discs on the spare assemblies would need replacing shortly. (can price them for you if needed.

$3500.00 (replacment cost without spares is $5250.00)

I fully intend doing wanneroo on a more regular basis next year, i just want to do one more this year, hopefully the long track when daylight savings comes back in. I dont run silly amounts of hp (369rwhp) so im guessin the 4 pots will do the job nicely.

I am keen, just weighing up if i want to do it now, or later this year. I'll keep thinking, hope you get a buyer for them :)

You can go to 343mm with 17s and albiet a tight fit, they should still fit.

What would be the difference between this and the AP kit that Holmart has been selling ?? Are the specs different ??

yes they are different spec. the rear calipers are form the same faimly (the HSV uses a 332mm x 24mm read discs) this kit has a 315mm x 18 disc (same as V8 race utes)

the front calipers are diffrent, the caliper in this kit is more of a race caliper, it has internal dust seal (HSV kit uses external), this caliper is also stiffer. the HSV kit does have a larger front disc 350mm over 330mm, but this kit has two piece front disc so it has its advantages over a one piece

this kit is designed on the package the V8 utes race with, the only difference being they have a 6 piston front caliper.

its a bit diffcult to comapre as they do have there difference.

Cheers for the reply, i figured they may have been a "better" spec. Sounds like a good setup, as Neil said i'm surprised no-one has jumped on them... :)

Didn't realise the utes used a 6 spot front - why the hell are they so slow then ?? :whip:

Cheers,
Paul...

they are slow cause they weight 1800kg:yep:Power output is also supposedly kept to some sort of benchmark for parity.
