On Behalf of Sonny...

We had the pleasure of fitting up one of the new harrop HH122 blowers on a stock engine, the kit fitted up pretty well, everything in the kit was of quality. This vehicle is basically a stock monaro with valve springs, made some impressive numbers for a stock engine running 9psi.We could have made a little more though the fuel pump and injectors were at their limits,if notice the AFR curve on the dyno sheet you see it leaning out as it runs out of fuel, this calls for a fuel system,i have buttoned this engine of at 5800rpm as the fuel curve is safe there as the owner must decide if he wants to go a fuel system. This vehicle will do a easy 11 with the right clutch setup.driver etc,Its upto the owner if he wants to take it to the track as i have delivered exactly wat he asked for.The exact specs of this vehicle are listed below,

- Vehicle :CV8 Monaro
- Engine : Ls1 stock
- Heads : Stock apart from isky valve springs
- Exhaust : dual 2.5inch system with di fillipo 1 7/8 headers
- Clutch : Stock
- Diff : 3.91:1
- Tune : 2 bar mafless
- Intake : Harrop HH122 Blower
- Boost 9psi
- Fuel Pump : Walbro intank
- Injectors : 36lbs
- Air Box : Stock Air Box with second hole mod(k&n filter )

- Heres some pics of the install and the dyno sheet

Looks great.

How do the intake temps go with this new blower? Is the intercooler the same as the previous/smaller version?

Duncan,

This blowers a slightly better setup then there previous, the intake temps were floating round 45 to 69deg,you have to remeber it was really cold in the dyno room ,if you look at the correction factor on the dyno sheet ,theres almost no correction, thats how cold it was.I tuned this very concervative due to being cold to compensate for the hotter wheather conditions, though with a better fuel system and more agrresive tune this will certainly make more grunt as i buttoned this off early due to running out of fuel in the top end .

I had a good look at this today and geez it looks neat and sounds the business. Martin (the owner) is a nice bloke too...

Good luck with the car, it's a sweet package !! :yep:

BTW - If these gain ADR approval i can see a lot of people going this way over the turbo set ups...

Cheers,
Paul...
