View Full Version : Mick and Russo run 12.64@112.25mph in the VE-SS! (EDIT: 12.38!)
Congrats to Mick and Russo Performance for their PB tonight @ WSID with the VESS!
12.64 @ 112.25mph with a 2.0 60'
Car mods are: exhaust, 10%UDP and "special" tune/intake (yep, thats it)
STOCKER diff, clutch, tyres and full weight.
Outstanding guys, surely there isnt anyone running quicker with that setup.
Mick, if you can pull a 1.8 60' again (on those tyres) you are bound to be doing even better.
Pick up som MT ET's and you may be doing sub 12.5's
I am pretty amazed really, especially with the extra weight of the VE.
Wow, thats bloody amazing!
Well done team russo :D
Well done to team Secret squirel :yep::cheers:
Thats a great time Mick the boys!!

Nice pedalling too, Mick :bravo: .

That's awesome ... well done guys, great driving Mick.
Dunc, I gather the VE may offset it's weight disadvantage (at least somewhat) through it's superior drive train. It may weight more but it puts the power to the ground a lot better than anything VT - VZ ever did. Less drive train loss and better traction.
However it's done, 12.6 in what is essentially a stock car "tweaked" is sensational bang for your bucks.
:bravo:

How good is that???
Basic tweaking and a 12.6 @ 112 mp/h. :woot:
Almost makes a mockery of all the nonsense I've gone thru to get a VT anywhere near that ... :headbang:
I can smell a new clutch coming ... :waving:

I was wondering why TC wasn't graced with the news ... well done boys, awesome work.
What did you do with the clutch ? Is it still a stocky or have you gone for something better ?

He just needs to put some decent rubber on the back & somehow maybe lose a few kg off the car. The 3.7's wont be helping much either. We worked out last night it should be good for a low 12 easy.
Here's the dyno sheet, i think showing the MAF tune vs the MAFLESS tune

haha Mick was super fast on the gear changes back in the day
Hard man on components thought...he used to say if he didnt break the clutch when he raced it, he wasn't trying hard enough!

Heehee yeah. I only just put a new big single plate in this week, this may become a more regular job I reckon.
