The red line is head & cam with the old dual 2.5" & the blue line is the new CHE custom dual 3". Is good for 7rwkw, or 10hp, & some Nm in the mid-range.
Power vs Nm:

And the power vs afr chart:

Making good power right up to the 7050 limiter. Who says dual 3" is too BIG :flip1: :D (you know who you are..... Bomhat :yep: :whip: :stick:).
Once again, BIG thanks to Dale & the CHE boys for looking after me .

Agreed... it sounds wicked.... and I asked for the quietest system, which is naturally louder than my old medium dual 2.5" catback. Sounds phat-as at idle, but seems to get quieter from there as the revs rise. You should see the rear muffler... literally cannot fit a bigger one in  . The boys really did an outstanding job :yep: :yep: .

Nice work !
The dyno doesnt seem to show any loss in bottom end power, did you feel any loss ?
Dan
Has there been any test/ results of 3" pipes fitted to a basically stock car with just bolt ons etc, from anyone here on TC just out of curiosity?
Have you got any picture Erik of the finished job from CHE?

The dyno doesnt seem to show any loss in bottom end power, did you feel any loss ?I think it definitely needed a re-tune, because when I drove home after the dyno, the car felt much snappier.... more alive, right through the rev-range. Wanted to turn tyres that little bit easier :bravo: . First dyno pull yesterday was 301rwkw, last was 317rwkw.

Not this time Azz... didn't have camera handy when I picked the car up. Dave really did a top job. Tucked it up as high as possible for clearance issues. Dual 3" is a lot of metal  . When the car was on the hoist, he demonstrated how strong it all was by hanging off the system :bravo: . Didn't budge.

i know of a few cars in qld that are bolt on and run the twin 3" xforce and have no loss of power anywhere in the rev range , and the note is something to be heard in person.

i have some pics ill post them tomorrow when i get to work,
i tried the dual 3in on my car over 12 months ago when it was still internally stock, lost a little power everywhere over the dual 2.5 but not as much as it lost with a single 3.5...
the x force systems are good but dont flow as much as our custom ones due to the LARGE cut in x pipe and the mufflers are not as big etc, we use the x force when the customer isnt worried about the noise the car makes,

i just put an 3" X force system on replacing 3.5 sureflo
it definitely has picked up power
some people say you lose low down torque but they are the people who haven't got one ,every one who i have spoken to who have one say you don't
i have bolt on mods only

due to the LARGE cut in x pipe
Is that when you create a single chamber with the two pipes?

What $$$ approx are you looking at for this set up? Hoping to upgrade the system on my car to twin 3" also
cheers mark
NICE, VERY NICE:bravo:
Good to see someone else running two big black pipes out the rear, to me that's a sign of serious muscle at work not some show pony with crome/ flame blue crap tips, it don't add no HP:nana:
