nah, but I can tell you who not to use :D
I paid $200 for 20% tinting done.
I'm not saying it was a bum job ... but one window does have a very slight imperfection.
They were a mobile mob (based in qld) who travel the coast when they get enough work planned (we had 4 cars at work done on the one day).
But I'd have to call them back in to rectify it, and I just can't be bothered.
Plus i'm not the whinging kind. :)
I'd now have prefered to pay the $350-400 and just had it done at a SolarTint or equivalent.
A big place, using good film.
Voodoo will probably have some comments to make about film and their qualities

Nope, not for me. Friend bought a new car & would like to have it done. Haven't you noticed my tints before :slap:. They're dark enough :D.

Erik, the Ford dealership who done the Typhoon said that this is the only person they will use:
Sydney's Best Car Tinting
Zinos Markou
160 Townview Rd
Mount Prichard
Mob. 0415 231 222
He said they have used him for years without a problem and the tint comes with a lifetime warranty.

Dr Shocks in Brookvale on the Northern beaches have done 3 of my vehicles recently and they do a perfect job without even the smallest bubble.
Fast friendly service and good value too.

Gotta love 'cash no receipt' transactions..........well at least I do :yep:

I do as well for most things but be careful with tinting because the receipt is often your lifetime guarantee. If they dont offer one then dont worry. Or get it in writing but not an official receipt

For those in the know... Is it illegal to have tint on a windscreen? or the back window of a ute for that matter?

As far as i'm aware Tom having tint on the back window of a ute is fine but on the windscreen itself would be illegal.I've not yet seen a car in my lifetime with it done yet but then again maybe i need to get more :)

As Wombie said ... back window - OK / windscreen - not a chance.
May as well sign the car up with some big race type stickers saying "DEFECT ME" ...

As the ute is classed as a commercial vehicle you are able to have it totally blacked out if you so desire.
maybe i need to get more :)

Cheers guys. I thought that would be the case. I asked the windscreen question as I though one of those transparent UV blocking films(not actually tinted) might be a good idea to stop the sun farking up the leather inside. Oh well...

Im sure that would be fine so long as it didnt block your vision.
Otherwise use a leather conditioner with UV blockers in it once a month. Easy

OK, so a year later im finally getting the car tinted, only now am i pushing for it since some of the cow is fading... Grrrrrrr
Has anyone had any experience with the Tint-A-Car/Sol-Ace Midnight Express Tint?
He has already told me they wont do any illegal installs :( So im praying the darkest legal is enough.

Windscreens already have a UV protectant in them but i have seen them tinted in a clear tint thats now available to reduce heat absorbsion.
Midnight express is mid range. Try find a 3M tint film. They are usually better.

Well the tint has been on for a week now and is nothing short of amazing....
Noticable difference when the car has been parked outdoors in the sun, it isnt the usual sauna to get into, and it looks awesome, really makes the car look so different.....
Happy Camper!!
