View Full Version : HSV Rims for the Berlina
I went to the local Brigdestone centre and priced a set of new tyres for the car . The manager there said I might have something that will interest you ,a set of VX R8 rims with 60% SO3 tyres for $950.
After trying them on the car I quickly handed over the money. Here is what the old girl looks like now

that was a good find, lucky! and looks great too.
Thanks Duncan , I couldnt knock him back at that price. He had them on ebay and the price had reached $1200 and was rising, so I was very lucky:yep:

looks good. i had my maloo rims(same) painted in metallic grey to match the two tone on my calais. they looked a little dark with the blue. i put them back on my maloo last week and shoved the ssv19's on the calais. they look heaps better with the light silver against the delft blue. the gold finish looks good on nearly all colours. ive got to get the car lowered now it looks abit like a 4x4. is yours std height or fe2? im trying to find a set of springs about 30-40mm lower that stock that arent to firm on the ride.
Its fe2 Delft Calais with HSV springs ,ride is quite good. I wouldnt want mine any lower as the mudflaps scrape on the rolled driveway and the missus dented both my cats the other day :headbang:   on a speed hump
Look good Ron, what did you have on before?

your old wheels didnt look to bad either. dont worry about the mud flaps my calais has std suspension and the bloody mudflaps scraped on nearly all speed humps with stock rims and bigger ones. i dont really want the calais to low, only about 15mm lower than fe2. want to keep the ride as nice and cumfy as possible. feels abit like a truck at the moment with the std springs and the amount of body roll it has.
Yep the new rims look heaps better man, but you car is now not as much of a sleeper :yep: like it was before.
A good buy I say mate.
Troy :)
