Went on a reconnaissance with Stav & Dunc this morning for a race suit & other goodies. We each ended up with a pretty good package from Race & Rally Motorsport at Greenacre. Great service from Sue. Kit consisted of a double layer race suit (approved FIA 8856-2000), race boots, nomex balaclava, nomex socks, leather gloves. A good value package imo :yep:. Would recommend a look for people wanting to get kitted out.

Package is $899. If you add up the cost of the individual items, it is great value. The suit alone is $668.
Good going with the AP's Troy :bravo:.
WOW  thats a great price, I was thinking in the thousands!! :yep:
Good stuff.
The AP's well, lets just say they are no chop at the moment as I ran our of DOT 5.1 and there is air in there...and a chair aswell.
Will try to get some more in the morning, but Im hitting it tonight so I doubt Ill be doing much more in the morning other then sleeping :headbang:

Interesting in that they make the suits on-site (at Greenacre) and you can get custom fitting done (which i need being a midget).
Thanks to Chis (for the tip on the great pricing) and Erik (for encouragement!) :bravo:

May even get to try them out in August :up2sum: .
They do look like awesome packages. :yep: Well done guys.
I think an embroided TC logo would set it off quite nicely. :)

Do you want a ban? The Aussie flag is all that I hold sacred!!!!!!!!! :yep: I am a protector of it, its part of my job!!

Cheers Eric and Dunc.
For those interested, I also picked up an extended 3 inch 6 point race harness for the Escort for $250.... Cheapest alternative I found out there was over $400 so I was happy to say the least.
I also bought a pair of side mount brackets for the Momo seat in the Escort.... Again a bargain at well under $100.
Troy, just so you know, we were very happy to buy Australian made gear and support our great country..... you can shout the three of us a patriotic beer next time we catch up yeah?
I'll be getting a post up soon with some photos of the Escort... Its at the workshop now getting primed for its maiden run with me at the wheel on August 4th.... Can't wait!

Damn ... you guys are getting serious, I don't know how you have the time !!! In between work, kids sport and family stuff I am lucky to get the car out once or twice a year.
So clearly plans afoot for things more serious than the occasional Wakefield day ... look forward to the super secretive drip feed of information.
:stick:
Nice pick up guys, the gear looks great.
