Here are a couple of videos of the gauges in my car. The quality of the videos are average as they were taken on my mobile phone, but they give an idea of what the gauges do on start up and turn off...
Start Up With Auto Headlights Coming On, one blue and one red gauge for demonstration of colours...

Glad it all went well Gary. They look great. They are a much nicer gauge than the OEM Holden and HSV versions out there.
Also welcome to TrackChat, it's a lot more civilised in here.

Hey Gary ... welcome to TC, glad you found our little corner of the net.
Gauges look great, can't wait to get mine in. It looks like you have covered up the poxy factory gauges like John did ... is that right ? What did you guys use to hide them, or do you just disconnect them ?
I'm thinking the dash looks better without them ... :yep:

Nick the factory gauges remain operational as they are connected to the PCM. The gauge kit runs off completely new wiring.
To cover the factory gauges I just bought some black card from a drawing supply shop and cut a piece to shape to slot in there.
I then bought a 6 litre V8 badge (same one on the front fender) and stuck it on the card.

Thanks Nick. :) Yeah, have covered them but not very well. I wanted something thick so I could jam it in there so got a black ring binder (for putting paper in) and given my disabilities my daughter's boyfriend tried to cut a piece of it to shape for me but it wasn't easy as it isn't a nice rectangular shape. I'm going to go down and get some lighter card to make a template shortly to enable more accurate cutting, but was also going to ask on here and ls1 if anybody knew whether it was easy to just disconnect the Lego gauges.

Gary you will throw up error codes if you disconnect the factory gauges. Just leave them connected.
I went to Jacksons Drawing Supply shop and bought a sheet of card, it was about $4.00 and would make about 50 pieces for the gap. Mine is 50mm high which gives enough to bend it to get it in place top and bottom. If you want I can post you some...

OK, thanks John, don't want error codes. I just went to a newsagent and they only had thin card, so will try to find a Drawing Supply place.

I have PayPal available for payment now, so if anyone is interested in paying on credit card thru PayPal you can do this.
I will just charge the PayPal cost on top of the $ 505.00 price to cover their cost - approx. $ 15.00.

Done the install yet Simon ?
Also guys and gals if you have an SSV you can retain the exisiting factory digital gauges and add another two with this kit on the dash, giving you 4 gauges in total.
I've had a customer buy a kit with oil temperature and water temp so he could have 4 bases covered.

Well actually Nick due to the bank holiday yesterday i had a bit of time spare. I managed to wire it all up except for the oil pressure plate. Don't have the space or ability to do it at home and might need some assistance for that one.
Considering i'm fairly useless at these things it seems to have worked ok so far and didn't take to long. Would have been easier with slightly smaller hands to get into the small gaps though.
John - will it be ok to leave the oil pressure gauge powered up but not connected to the oil pressure plate?

No probs Simon to leave it powered up. If you can get to a car hoist it won't take long to do the changeover of the oil plate if the wiring has been run to there before hand.
You've done a good job, seems my instructions covered enough to get you there...

C'mon boys and girls, I would've thought anyone hitting the track with their VE's would want the gauges so they can know what is going on with the car. :yep:
People with SSV's can have 4 gauges in total if they want to keep their factory ones working and then can add two other gauges in the pod.
One guy over here is getting Oil Temp and Boost gauges in his SSV.
I am also doing some R&D into getting the kits into SV6's as well.
Any queries give me a call on 0407 090 666.

Update Time:
I have been doing some R&D on the V6 Alloytech motor and can now advise that I will have these kits available for the Omega and SV6's in a weeks time.
Also the binnacle will fit into the E Series HSV Clubsport R8 and GTS. I have had a few enquiries from E Series owners who have fitted forced induction and want additional gauges. I can offer water temperature, vacuum and boost gauges in these circumstances.
So if anyone has any queries they can PM me or call my mobile number - 0407 090 666.

Nick I haven't got the gauge working yet - thats tomorrows task. My garage has really slippery concrete floor so not convinced the jack and stands won't slip. Going to use my friends driveway tomorrow when they are at work.
Wiring was actually fairly easy to do so if you can do brakes you will be able to do these. JK's instructions are good.
V badge was only $16 so thought i would try it and i think it looks ok.

2022 - how many new cars will you have had by then?
Yesterday turned into a nice day so spent most of it at the beach. Had an attempt at replacing the plate today but with only the incredibly crap POS jack holden supply and a some jack stands i couldn't quite do it. So went down to the mechanics and 10 mins later on the hoist all done. Finally it is installed and i like it:bravo:

Yeah thanks Troy. It came about by chance, I asked on their Forum if I could plug my gauges on there.
They emailed me back and asked if they could do the article....free of charge...Gotta be happy with that.
Sonny is doing a great job with them and I have another shop in Brisbane keen to take them on in the New Year...
