Accomodation Arrangements For Wakefield Track Hire 24/9/07

Rather than bury this in the existing wakefield thread and people miss it ...

FOR THOSE WHO EXPRESSED AN INTEREST IN GOING DOWN THE EVENING PRIOR TO THE TRACK HIRE ... PLEASE POST YOUR GENUINE INTEREST IN A GROUP MOTEL BOOKING CLOSE TO CENTRE OF TOWN.

There'll probably be a meal and socialising, the evening prior to the track hire which from past experience is A HOOT !!!

I need responses to this by the 24/8/07 so if there is enough interest in a group booking I can get to work on arranging something.

OK, based on the above information I've spoken with the good folk from here http://www.clintonlodgemotel.com.au/

Prices are as follows:
Twin room = $89 (contains 1 queen and 1 single bed)
Interconnecting room (2 rooms - Choppo) = $130

I didn't enquire about single rooms as I didn't think it would be necassary but if people want this, please let me know.

As I calc, we needed 5 x twin rooms and 1 interconnecting for Choppo and they've given us a group disc on the prices which I felt was pretty good. I hope this meets the needs of everyone mentioned above. If not, please PM me.

I've figured we need a single and the interconnecting and as opposed to asking everyone what they want I'm booking the following on monday B4 we are unable to make a block booking.

1 x single - Josh
1 x interconnecting - Steve
5 x twin rooms - work it out fellas.
UNLESS I HEAR OTHERWISE FROM PEOPLE WANTING THEIR OWN ROOMS OVER THE WEEKEND !

Once the booking is made, unfortunately anyone wanting to join in later will have to make their own arrangements.

1 x interconnecting for Choppo
5 x twin rooms for everyone else (please work it out amongst yaselves)


No deposit money required and people can check in around 4pm or afterwards on the Sunday.

I presume (based on prev occassions) there'll be a group caravan of courage leaving for Glbn on the Sunday afternoon with meeting point probably just south of Sydney on the FWY (pheasants nest mobil servo etc). If anyone is interested in this idea please indicate so.

Agreed, i think lumping around Vic Dutton a few weeks ago with a 11mth old put an end to that idea - its hard yards - easier to sit by the pool in Sydney:yep:
