Congrats mate ... it's been a long time coming !!!
Now the fun part ... planning the wedding ... . It should also be mentioned that Ryzz was a true gentleman and asked his future father in law first.
All the best to both of you mate, well done.

Congrats Ryzz!!
Just a tip for you to take or leave....
With the wedding preps, don't get to worked up over things, let them (Missus, MIL, M) do what they like, as the day goes soo quickly that afterwards you will wonder what all the fuss was about...
That being said, make sure you get to choose the cars...
that was my only criteria.
Congrats Ryzz!!

That being said i think our mums have already planned half the wedding for us anyway, they are more excited than we are :lmao:

Dont worry about that one mate, the law has been laid down on that one from a looong time back

Was originally going to be the 12 (sorry 11) Apostles on the Great Ocean Rd, however due to fact it was pissing down with rain and i couldnt get rid of the girl long enough to did the ring out of my bag (which my old man snuck into my bag on the way to the Airport). So it ended up all going down at Locharte Gorge (10 min drive south from the Apostles). What made it even nicer is she had no idea it was going to happen and took her completely by surprise, including the poor couple that walked in on us right in the middle of it all :lmao: :lmao:

Good on you for asking him. Makes them feel chuffed.
I asked nicole's dad while he was outside BBQing. I ducked outside to 'help' and asked. He was taking the stuff off the bbq and dropped a steak when I asked.

Congratulations Ryan ... that's the easy bit over and done with. Now for the "fun" " part ... :waving:
I like the strategy used too, take the GF to the coldest state in Aus (mainland :D) and get her out of the car into the freezing cold ... ask her to marry you ... say "no pressure, BUT ... you can't get back in the car until you agree"
A thinking mans proposal .... I like it :bravo:

Nice location...I guess if she said 'no' you could have jumped in the gorge.
In relation to wedding preperations..."Yes dear" is the best answer to everything unless it involves
1. Cars
2. Groomsmen.
3. Grog
or the honeymoon. everything else..."Yes Dear."
Good Luck!!!

Well next easter will be 10yrs and katie asked me actually about a year after we got together. My son wyatt will be 5 befor christmas and my daughter turned one a month ago.
We now have our own home 2 kids, 2 cars, 1 bike, 2 other cars, 2 cats, 1 mouse.
Sounds like alot, which it is and it cost alot but thats why i work my arse off to provide the best possible life i can for my family. Getting married was something we allways planned on doing , we just saw it better for us to get setup proprely first.
ps i dont mind keeping things for awhile so i probably wont trade this one in:) .

I hear where ur coming from.. Everyone goes on about expensive weddings which is why, when i got married i went to the registry with
1. Wife
2. Her Parents
3. My Parents
Thats it
Didnt tell anyone we was getting married either until a month after we sent out invites to our wedding party ;)
Day of wedding including accom for the night, marriage itself and a nice dinner for 6 total $900 inc cabs home from city to manly and city to st george area...
Wedding party cost us about $600 for 30 people with beer and food...

I also went this way and his exact words were take her PLEASE , after living together for 6yrs and having a 4yr old we tied the knot 10 days ago . As has already been said just go with the flow and enjoy the day . The day comes and goes so quick you wont believe how quick .. I can recommend a great photographer  Kyle.
He did our wedding and i have never seen someone take so many pictures , we had to tell him to stop and sit down and have a meal  He had some awsome ideas as to the pics he took .

Nick no harm taken i figured you werent having a go and i didnt take it that way and im sorry if i came across a bit defensive. We had planned to do it years ago but for one reason or another it never happened and now that we have life seemingly organized we are thankfull to finally tie the knot.
Having 2 seperate last names makes it a pain in the bum when dealing with all the paper work that in life you have to do now, cant wait just to have the one surname for the family.
I have an aunty and uncle that have been together for 17years and still aint married and i dont think they ever will:yep: .
Sorry to steal your thread Ryzz, congrats again and all the best to your wife to be and i hope your future brings the pair of you all the happyness you both deserve:yep: .

Hey Guys, just back from the honeymoon. Massive thanks to the 3 guys for coming along and driving us around for the day. Could not have asked for a better day.
Got lots of stories to tell (especially after driving 4000KM on the wrong side of the road in a 1.3L Oil Burner. The lap around the Nurburgring with none other than Sabine Schmit piloting the M5 was an experience i shall not forget!!!
Hopefully ill have some more pictures of the day and the cars soon. Anyone that knows how to DivX encode a 1GB Video file of the Ring Taxi lap let me know so i can post that up too.
