What would you say the combined worth of these would be today?
These look like privately owned cars, and this is at the holden proving grounds.
Does anyone know what the event was about?
Out of interest has anyone seen a blue meanie for sale recently? they seem to have all evapourated from the classifieds..

Holy Crap ... sure that's not photo shopped ? I wouldn't have thought there where that many left, or that they could get them all together like that.
Maybe it's all Brocks at the front and then other cars when you can't really tell what they are ?

That's excellent photochop if it is. Assuming it's real I wonder how long ago this photo was taken? May have been a while ago when there were more around... Not that it is much of an indication but I didn't see any recent number plates on the cars. I did notice a VL in amongst the group.
BTW, it took me 26 minutes to download the high res piccie...
photo does look to be quite old, and i can spot just one VL so it must be just after 1987?

Photo was taken in the 80's, and yes they are genuine Brocks. Dont forget - PB built thousands of cars and was at one stage the country's 6th biggest manufacturer. And yes he was a manufacturer - in the same vein as HSV today.

A guy at my work had a genuine blue meanie, he sold it for 22k 2 years ago. It had a genuine 68k on the clock and still had the plastic covers on the seats. There is 1 lucky guy in sydney atm, needles to say when he told me i was goin to cry

That's the stuff of dreams right there.
VHGP3 with wind splits ... still one of the nicest cars ever made ... followed only by the VT of course.
Hi Dunc,
Still some around. Heres one for $140,000. I like the site below by the way, but you just can't afford a nice classic anymore. What used to be a rev heads car, is now out there for the yuppies to buy and garage for 10 years.... and lets not even mention the triumvirate, XY GTHO Phase III, E49 Charger and HK Monaro.... need to sell your house for these ones.
