I'll post this in the correct section away from my other thread I've got in general disscussion of my wows:yep: http://www.trackchat.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=1730

I'm looking for some new rotors for the SSled and came across these in eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Commodore-Disc-Rotors-VT-VX-VU-VY-VZ-Front-Molycarbide_W0QQitemZ190179212713QQihZ009QQcategor yZ102358QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Has anyone used these types of rotors, any issues good or bad?
The price seem fair for what they are, but I'll take better offers:)

The car is for general driving and the odd bit of LEGAL drag racing, no curcuit work.

I found this link about the material used for the rotors if you to are wondering what is Molycarbide? http://www.molycarbide.com/whatis.html

Aaron, Dunc has used the RDA's, even for circuit racing. I'm pretty sure he had no trouble with the RDA rotors.

I've used RDA's they were great for the money.

In the end i was going through a set each circuit day, but given the price i didnt care. But for street duties, teamed up with some decent pads i wouldnt hesitate, i think they will be fine.

Also i have purchased of onlineperformance (ebay) a few times and never had an issue with them.

You might want to try a couple of the sydney brake guys, racebrakes, vsport etc.

The rotors are good value and I have sold the rear rotors to many people including a couple of the guys on this forum as the rear version is a vented rotor with straight replacement to the factory solid disc and at $250 a pair they are good value.
With the rear slotted version being vented and not solid the set up is popular for people who retain there 15" wheels for racing or drag events and also works out cheaper than buying the monaro vented kit as the original calipers are used.

Aaron,

I've been running those molycarbide rotors on the rear of the VT for over 12 months and they've been fine. SSUte01 also has them fitted to the rear of his ute.

Withstood 30 laps of wakefield and 12 months of general driving with no problems to date so thumbsup from me.

I believe Steve (vt2vx) fitted some to the front of his Berlina and rates them but other than him I don't know of anyone else who's fitted fronts.

I'm about to fit molycarbide front and rear rotors to the GOON shortly as my form of budget brake upgrade. Maybe give Matt a ring @ race brakes Sydney or try this guy if $$$ are tight (when aren't they? :headbang: ). Slightly cheaper and landed at your door for around 4 pineapples.
