Guess who's now a russo customer :waving: . Ive have never been tied with a workshop as i love to do my own thing but i have been given great help from dale at che over the last year and now i have russo to add to the list. the service and help i have been given over the last few days from both has been greatly appreciated. I dont think ill ever be a sole workshop kind of guy but these two workshops have given me the service and time of day that everyone would like to have.
This is a big thank you to christian and justin from russo and a thank you to dale from castle hill exhaust for no bullshit honest answers to questions that would have had me wasting money on mods that would not have suited my application even though they could have made money out of me.
muchly and greatly appreciated
cheers tim

It's funny Tim ... workshops are a funny bunch, it's taken as a serious insult when you go somewhere else.
It's quite funny actually, I was using Sam and was more than happy with the shop, then the brakes in my Coupe went and Sonny was able to look at them several weeks before Sam could (Christmas time) ... so I asked Sonny to take a look. I didn't know about the unwritten rules at the time and thought nothing of it.
Well ... boy was I in for a shock. The back lash from Sam's customers was exactly what convinced me not to go back, I couldn't believe the crap that followed, all because I wanted to get my brakes fixed before Sam came back from holidays.
Anyway ... it's great to see some of the Sydney shops can work together without all the BS.

i dont know if they work together or not but they both have great service and customer skills. Ive known dale (che) for about a year now and he has been so much help for me and my turbo project and anything else i ever wanted. Christian's (russo) help today and the effort he is going to to get me sorted for some more fast parts on such short notice befor xmas is more than i expected from someone that doesn't know me from a bar of soap but i think it helps to drop a few names like dunc and eric around.
Good stuff Timmy! you are in good hands mate, let us know how you go with the Russo OTR on the VE

LOL, funny you say that Nick !!
I have known Dale for a couple of years now through another forum, and get on pretty well with him. We even caught up for a Christmas beer a couple of weeks ago, such is how highly i think of him. I use Sonny to service my car (mainly on previous recommendations) as he is close to my work and now have seen first hand that he is an absolute perfectionist in everything he does - to the point where he gives me shit if i bring the car in looking anything less than immaculate...
Both are great guys and i'd love to spend some money with both of them. I'd feel guilty going to Dale, and i'd feel guilty going to Sonny such is the quality and the rapport i have with both guys. I happened to mention how i felt to both of them in recent times and i know for a fact they both indicated they don't really give a shit, as long as i'm happy with the end result... :lmao:
That's quality. Workshop wars are just absolute bullshit...
Cheers,
Paul...

I have used Sam's, CHE, Sonny and recently Russo performance. Being completely honest I think they are all fantastic workshops and would recommend any of them. I had a few hickups with customer service from Sam's but I still think they do outstanding work and believe that issue has been sorted since I have been there. There are so many other dodgy workshops in Sydney that I think we should be happy to have awesome shops that understand customer service.
There is nothing worse then not being comfortable even leaving your car at a shop because it wont be taken care of or the work will be hit and miss or they are selling you a solution that makes them money but doesn't work. I have been through all of this in the past and it is a terrible feeling when you are laying down your hard earned cash on your pride and joy.
I don't think this would happen with any of the above workshops.
Pfft I spit on workshop wars :yep:
