View Full Version : This Strut brace??
I saw this very nice Monaro at the Rev fest a few weeks back and it had the biggest and badest looking Front and Rear strut braces I have ever seen.
Does any one know any thing about them??

The rear was about 30mm thick also
Strong looking braces, any info or comments would be great.

They have a website HERE (http://www.gdperformance.com.au/index.htm) Troy, but no mention of that brace.
Cheers,

I think this is the Aussie Attack car that G&D built for a set of articles in Street Commdores magazine. The strut braces werent mentioned in the article. The rear strut brace is something I have thought about before after seeing them used in other cars.
I've sent off an email to G&D about the rear brace, will post up if they get back to me

Well, there goes the stealth position for your new amp Nick. There's a bloody fuel tank where I thought it could go. :eyes:
Is that the scaffolding work for the fuel tank install Nick ? :stick: Just kidding, I have no idea on that stuff. Back to my corner.....
Cheers,
Scott

:hmmm: I thought you had the amp inside the cabin behind the seat padding ... oh well, we will figure something out.
What you see there is all factory, I supose it's reinforcement for the fuel tank in case of rear end accidents ... you will actually be suprised at the size of the surge tank, Sonny's photos made it look a lot bigger than it actually is. It tucks up under the car and is completely hidden away.
This is a little OT but its my thread so, the best place to mount your Amp is where you were saying earlier. Under the rear seat there is pleanty of space, depending on the Amp size that is.

It is Nick, but you will see what I mean when you remove the rear seat. No way would you want an amp running power direct from the battery next to your fuel tank :flame:
Troy might have the answer. Thanks mate.
BTW, any response from G&D yet?
Cheers,
Scott

I received a response on the rear strut brace
We do have these items for sale but the lead time right now is ugly, approximately 4-6 weeks. They are made out of Cromoly tubing and are very light but very strong. I have one front bar in stock and it is powder coated black.
Pricing is $350 each.
Fitment is straight forward and should be done within an hour.
Regards,
Matt Jackson.
