Would any of you guys be intersted in a Group buy for some Mickey Thompson drag tyres, if so what size would you like?
It would be good if we can get some numbers before the WSID day.
If anyone has a prefered supplier in Sydney apart from Rocket or American Auto's please make some suggestions.
Cheers Sav.
As per other thread i am in!

Daniel if you kept your stocker brakes we can change them over. I'll be putting a set of stocker on - to fit the 15's

Thanks Duncan. Pretty sure I have the original brakes some where. I will have a look.
With my car being just bolt ons do you think it is worth puting MTs on? I was just thinking about this last night, maybe better to just try on street tyres being its my first time out?

It's a bit of trouble acquire tyres and swap the brakes over. Once you've done it a few times it's relatively easy though.
If you're interested in chasing the best ET - you have to the right tyres.
If not, then don't bother.
MPH will tell most of the story anyway.
For your setup you should be chasing a high 12 and 106mph.

Thanks for the response, thinking about it I am probably not chasing the best ET at this stage. Just learning how to drag race I guess. I reckon the clutch is going to be my biggest issue, It is playing up a bit again :( I hope I can get is sorted before the drag day but I dont fancy it holding up to a few big launches.

Damn Dunc,i didn't think it would be that hard to gets these, i was working next door to Rocket today and went inside to ask about these to find out they MIGHT be in AFTER march, no bloody good to me atm:flip1: , they did however say they would be getting in blemished ones in FEB, when i asked what they are he said MT's with maybe scuff marks etc (sounds like seconds world), i asked if the tyre integrity was the same and they said yep, so i put my name down for back order on them and new ones when they come in (he said if they come in atleast your on the list). I also asked wether they had 16's, they checked on the computer to tell me he has ONE:headbang:
Now should i look towards Hoosier and who sells them?
and can anyone recommend which ones?
I dont want to go to WSID on 18inch street tyres:headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
So are you guys bidding for me on Ebay lol , i'll pay $300 for them but i have never used Ebay, profit + a carton any one?:yep:
Are these delays common with MT's, or is this a freak occurence?
Cheers Sav.

Sav, if you can get some of the "blemished" M/T's - grab em! And get a set for me. We've used them before - no probs. As for alternatives, i might try slicks and proper front runners. If i can get some, you can use my M/T's - they are on there last legs though (possibly good for 10 more runs).
