Hey cool.

what sort of height do you need to make decent use of one of these fatas?

measure your car from sill to roof and measure your height add 300mm and there you go.
posts height is about 2770mm
total lift height to top of pads is1900mm + car height
overal width is 3250mm
give me a call if you need any more specs or prices :)

Thanks for hooking me up Richard.
I really appreciate it.
Meeting with my sparky tomorrow to get some 3 phase out to the garage.

(I am also very seriously thinking about getting a dyno in there - Though am trying to convince myself I don't need/want one). :up2sum:

I also haven't decided how deep I want my burial plot. I'm sure my wife will make an appropriate decision.

Have you priced a dyno!

Yep.

Todd from Mainline has given me some advise aswell.

Don't worry, i'm not after a 4 wheel, suped up, LCD screen, print out, blah blah blah one.

But have lined up a dyno with ramps, chocks, big fan and all required ancilleries (power sub station). It can also be mounted flush with the ground and includes plates to cover it when not in use.

Only good for 400RWKW, but that's enough :)

6 years old and hasn't been used for power runs before, just RTA brake testing and general fault finding.

All for the low price of $3,000

I'm sure you can see why I was tempted

I had exactly the same thought at first...but Dick's one is pretty old from memory (and is above-ground).

Cheers,

Nice one Seedy ... is it my eyes or is your hoist not square to the garage?

It just looks slightly out in the pics.

PS You have a VERY understanding wife mate. :bravo:

seedy is allways side ways or drunk so i kicked it a little so he gets in the first time

no he has 2 single roller doors and we had to make it so he can get in in and out with ease so yes we kicked the hoist problem solved :yep:

one day he may change it and i will just move the hoist square :waving:

thank you for your business mr seedy and fridge full of beer and coke  have fun remember to put the lock on every time you get under that hoist:yep:

This shows the post that was the reason for kicking it sideways.
It seemed to be a little loadbearing, so I wasn't too keen on removing it, and then having to put an RSJ in

Some pre-hoist shots

Sonny has even given me tips on keeping the floor clean ;)

Not the best garage, nor the biggest, but having a wife who doesn't mind leaving her car outside helps :yep:
