Windscreen Scratches?

Just wondering if anyone knows whether scratches in a windscreen can be repaired somehow?

With all this rain about lately, something has got caught on the wiper blade and put a 40cm ish long scrape along the glass. it's not deep, but it's very visible.

Scratches can be buffed out of glass, but I think you will be hard pressed to find any company willing to do a windscreen. Check your insurance and see if you have the one per year windscreen coverage.
