Question for the brake gurus

Are there any lightweight brake options for commodore?

I may temporarily put the stocker brakes back on my munro (for drag racing) but i was wondering if there are any lightweight calipers and/or rotors available? (OEM size or thereabouts)

Well it may save just a few pounds, but you can get the vented rear disks now in standard size, just need different rear pads that are a bit thinner, and maybe the 5000 series DBA rotors with the alloy hats.

I use the 5000s in larger size on my ute and they are definitely noticably lighter than the all steel equivalents.

If every pound counts, then not an expensive weight saving exercise.

I'll be doing the same thing on the rear,to fit the 15" mt's.

After reading this thread i just tried to pick up the whole 350mm 332mm AP brake package that are sitting the loungeroom(still:o) in one go.
Bloody heavy mate.I reckon they might add 0.1 maybe more to my ET.
I wonder what the weight difference is against the standard setup.

They look like the Willwoods used on the Doorslammer that I crew for.
