View Full Version : Russo @ the 2008 LS1 Nats
Was down at the Russo workshop and noticed a bit of preparation going on for the Nats.
1) Chris swapping over motors in his Berlina; seems to be an stroker motor going in with some happy gas attached 2) across the other side of the shop - a new turbo-ready Stroker going into the black GTS? 3). Randy Rick working on his super-secret-squirrel project for his black VY, which should match his blow wave hair style. Any guesses? Personally I think the V8Supercar style curtain around the engine bay is a tad over the top, ditto the white lab coat. 4) Meatpie-Mick with his unopened VE, perhaps consider gutting it Mick... 5) Kiwi in his fresh 408 GenTTR, 6) Erik with his new 383 Stroker - with some new go-fast bits arrived yesterday and 7) my 438ci CV8. Hopefully my friggin heads finally arrive in time (they have been sitting in customs for weeks!!)
The Russo Contingent (in order of their star signs of course):
Chris - 408 Stroker NO2
Justin - 408 Stroker LS1 Turbo
Rick - 346 Secret Squirrels
Meatpie Mick - Unopened VE
Kiwi - Stroker GenTTR
Erik - 383 Stroker
Duncan - 438 Stroker
The transporter and accomodation are booked! - don't even think about backing out guys. We'll post up some progress pics as we draw nearer to the Nats weekend.

On top of this combo there is a :nos: Fogger Pro Shot which should make things interesting.

Big thanks to Team Russo for the continuing developing on this combo.
The drive home was "interesting"..
We'll try and post a dyno sheet up soon, and by next week we should have some track numbers.

Oh my god:hide: looks like i need to get my falling boost issue sorted out now then if im gonna compete with those numbers;) .
That is absolutly awesome dunc, does it behave alright while putting around.
Your going to need to cage that thing once you get it hooking up for some low 60ft'ers.
I cant wait to see it and hear it:dance: .

The power curve is a little interesting on this one Tim, it's rather docile punting around. But touch 3500rpm and hold onto your seat!!

you can have a drive of mine when we catch up, its like a stocker under 2k then as it builds boost it pulls like a train, it gets a bit tailey in the first 3 gears.
This is not a return favor either.

Wow, that is an impressive result. I would like to say I'm surprised although I'm not you fellas always seem to produce the results. Well done, as usual.
Better stick to 2nd gear starts next weekend Dunc. :D
So I take it that the extra 25 odd kW is noticeable and appreciated. What a combo!!
