I had some new bilstein shocks/springs fiited at Pedders Grandville. The difference is amazing the car just seems to drive a whole heap better and steering seems to be so much more precise as well. I may even have a rear sway bar chucked on as well. Anyway I told Con that I wanted to keep the ride height around the same as the Fe2 height. I picked the car up and he said its sitting about 5mm higher than the FE2. It will settle some I guess. Anyway I am thinking about taking it back as its just sitting a tad higher than what I like. I would like to drop it about 20mm. Will they just cut the springs are does it have to have the springs swapped over?

Definintely no cutting the springs.
Re-lowering it all over again means fronts struts completely removed/disassambled and new springs put into place. Not a 2 minute job unfortunately.
Rears are much easier and can generally be swapped within 15 minutes.

I spoke to pedders today and its going back tomorrow to have different springs put in. So it should fix it all up, it going down aroun 20mm so it should be around 15mm lower than the fe2. Still safe for speed humps etc.

So JB, you're then all set for Wakefield!

Got the car back from pedders and all good. They fitted new springs and the ride height is a touch lower then standard but not on its guts. Con was very helpful and I am very happy with the result.
These guys do a great work and I would recommend them for any suspension work. I will probably be going back for some sway bars to finish the suspension right off.
Not quite ready for wakefield yet, still need to fit a ps cooler and an oil catch can. I may give it a few laps in its current state.
