Im new 'round here...

G'Day, my name is Aeron. Im 23 and live in Sydney. I own a 2004 XR6T with 300Kw. I've done a few trackdays in it (OPx1, WPx2 & ECx1) but i thought it was time to get a 2nd car that dad and I (he doesn't want to drive my car) could build into a bit of a track car so we bought a VX SS today that we'll build up and use for track days.

I dont have any pics of the SS yet because I pick it up Tuesday so here is a few pics of my XR6T...

Yeh, the VX will be a dedicated track car but it'll stay street legal. I'd like to do things like the Dutton Rally too. Planned mods include headers+full exhaust, CAI, Flash Tuner, diff, springs, shocks, sway bars, bigger brakes. That?s not in order of priority. Of cause all of that will not happen over night but they are the planned mods. My dad and I will split everything 50/50 with costs. So its almost like buying everything at half price. :lol: :lol:

You should try and make it down to Wakefield next weekend, its a great lil track with bugger all walls.

Scotty, your VY was one of the reasons why I went for a Commodore as my track car. I saw it at the last Eastern Creek track day and thought, wow, I like it!! I also love your rims!! They are EXACTLY what im after!! I want black one but another colour would be ok. How much were they??

Just Fly? Man that works out at about 210 RWKW, thats nothing to sneez at BUT....

But if you want more outa the SS youre at the right place.

More than a few Holdens here and all pumping out between 230 to 300 plus RW and AW KW's

Don't think fly to rw will lose 30% for an M6. If that was the case, I'd have ~370 fly :eek:. Probably closer 20-25% :) .

It's a small world ... turns out Aeron and I did the Formula Ford day together a few months back. :lol:

I remembered his car, I sat in the back seat while Peter Findlay took us belting around the track in it. Look forward to catching up at a TrackChat day soon Aeron.

Yeh, the cars have an adjustable rev limiter so we don?t kill our selves, but mine wasn't working. Usually the thing would be on the limiter in top gear down the main straight, so you hold it flat to go as fast as you can, but on one lap, i held it flat and it just kept going faster and faster and didn?t hit the limiter. In the end I had to jump on the brakes for turn 1. On the next lap I had to stop so they could "fix" it, but it still wasn't working all the time :D
