View Full Version : Black VE SSV
Evening guys,
did this one today. Worked my back side off to get it done before dark! I was adding the finishing touches after dark so in the pics you may notice the wheels arnt really clean, nor are the windows, i just had to get some pics before the sun dropped.
It was windy as today so luck i had the customers garage to work in. Anyway the process went intensive 3.01 on yellow by rotex, intensive 3.01 on green by rotex, final finish 106ff on white by rotary, dodo need for speed AIO on white by RO. I love need for speed today was the 3rd time i used it and it gives a really slick finish, not as slick as Z2 but pretty close!!
The owner arrived halfway through and said he never knew it had a gold flake in it
Anyway the pics!

Better than factory. Almost every car i see when we do PD details have swirls from new. Less than 10 k's on the clock and some are swirl city.
Great work dan (You attending the DP Pro's n Hoes night?)
Thanks. I most certainly should be mate. Are you coming down for it?

Awesome work! Looking forward to having mine done mid july :)
Hopefully mine should come up that good. Want it looking sweet for the SC Cruise for Charity :)
I got 2 dried bird craps that ate into the paint (previous owner!!) each the size of a 50c peice, think you can buff/wet sand those out also.
Cant wait to have mine looking like a mirror. Top stuff!

I disagree ... doesn't matter how careful you are, with this colour you will need 6 monthly stage 1's at least. I couldn't be more careful yet the marks always come back ... :cry:
Car looks great Dan, when the wagon arrives I want you to give it a once over (I know how you love white ...) and probably the same for the Coupe 4. This daily driving is fun but it's giving me the shits, I want it back in the garage !!!

I can certainly try mate. Ill give them a sand and feather around the edges and they should be much less noticible!

This is true i suppose.
I dont mind white. Z5 looks awesome on white due to the tinters, gives it an awesome shine to. Its not pearl is it? The coupe 4 is also no problem, i can imagine what its like day to day

:confused::hat:
Nah it gets washed by the local hand car wash and sometimes wiped down with quick detailer and a white megs cloth unfortunately
