Tubes with slicks?

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are about using tubes with drag slicks.

I have a set of 16x9.5 Hoosier DOT slicks that i will be fitting onto the Ute soon and the Hoosier site recommends the use of a tube. After a bit of research it seems that not many people use tubes.

So should i use them? :confused:

I run hoosier slicks and dont run a tube. Hoosier said no need to me when i ordered them so i didnt. I run 26 x 9.0 x 15 drag slick
