Guys i'm after some steelies for the sv8 along with some drag radials and was wondering will the VE rims fit or do they need modifying?I was looking at some on ebay, they are 16 x 7s (4) so i might have a pair of sparesand are relatively close to pick up if i'm successful.

What do you recon a max price for them would be?Also what's the max size in rubber and brand i can have fitted?I'm such a noobie at this so any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I bought 2 ve steelies for my ute the other week from NVU in Melbourne for $50 each, i am fitting a set of 16x9.5 street slicks to them.

I think you will need to get the centre machined out a couple of mm for them to fit though.

I am in southern Sydney if you want a trial fit.

you will have to get the center bore opened up a few mm. i had a pair of ve 16x7 rims with stock tyres on them. i was going to use them for some burnout acion at the wsid drag day earlier this year but they wouldnt fit over the hub. i didnt know i had ve rims untill then as the wheel shop thought they were pre ve ones.
