Thanks guys! I love this car, very happy with it. Could use a bit more grunt though ;)
I made a mistake in the post though, when I said "13.00 @109mph with 2.0 60ft in 100% factory trim" I meant to say street trim rather than factory trim as the car had most of the mods listed but street tyres, full weight, filter in and firm suspension settings. I was very pleased with that time but unfourtunately the stock clutch was stufed and held me back form hitting that magic 12. Hopefully my new LS7 clutch will fix that and bring me that 12 second time slip with no further mods :)

what revs are you launching at and are you getting much wheelspin?

I launched between 2300 and 2800rpm with success. If I tried to go over that it just punished the clutch and the car went no where (and ended up sending the clutch to an early grave!). However with the preped track I had only a tiny bit of wheelspin and no axle tramp! I dont think the LS7 clutch will allow any more revs then this like a Tex Z grip would but hopefully it will hold up unlike the stocker. I chose the LS7 for its street qualities as I dont race much. In fact the runs i mention here was my first go at the drags!

Looks great Daniel. Have to agree that's a sensational colour for the coupes
Do you have plans to do the H/C stuff any time soon?

Thanks Tom. I was going to jump ahead and just do the H/C combo but I really want to run a 12 with bolt ons in full street trim. I reckon the car can do it, so I think I will wait until I achieve that.

Thanks Nick, considering your ability for building up slick rides that is a great compliment :)

I'd imagine high 12's should be a walk in the park for you with the new clutch. Good luck :)

A few updates on this car. Other then the engine the car is pretty much the same except for changing the Harrop brakes for HSV AP brakes.
However the changes have been mainly in the engine. Russo Performance have done a fantastic job and i am really pleased with the results.
I first added one of their custom baby cams (smaller than a 220/220) which was good but the car really came alive when the heads were added :)
Engine mods went like this:
Stock - 169 rwkw
Bolt ons - 228 rwkw
- Russo Mafless tune
- HPF alloy OTRCAI and DUS ported TB
- Twin 2.5" DF exhaust with CSV short headers and opened factory cats
Cam only - 267 rwkw
Above plus:
- Russo custom street cam
- Valvesprings
- Double row timing chain
- Powerbond UDP
H/C - 296 rwkw
Above plus:
- CNC Ported heads
- Ballistic cats
- DUS OTRCAI
The car is now so responsive and punchy at any revs. Its smooth and easy to drive and although you know it is not standard it is still a little bit understated compared to most cammed cars. Its not too thirsty either, uses less fuel then when stock! It toasts the rears if you are not careful though!
Now to see what it runs at the drag day. It will again be run in 100% street trim :)
Thanks so much to Justin and Christian from Russo Performance for their work on the car and also thanks to Duncan for his help with everything.

That's a great result from a small cam. What is the difference in torque compared to stock?

I was pleased considering it still has the short headers and stock manifold. I haven't grabbed the Dyno sheet yet but I would suggest the torque increase is substantial ;)

Cheers Mark, look forward to catching up
