Thanks guys,
I won't be tinkering around with this one too much.
Maybe eventually a nice mild Cam and I'm thinking of painting the wheels Gloss black as per the accents on the spoilers.
This one's a keeper like the Coupe4.
Cheers Mark

This one's a keeper like the Coupe4.
I reckon both will hold their value really well too ... I was speaking with a guy a few weeks ago who paid $75,000 for a stock Coupe 4 with 35,000kms on it !!!

Coupe looks great, how do you maintain it ? Regular details or do you just give it a wash ?

Very nice Mark,
Without trying to sound like a jelous prick, I vote to keep it as it was delivered, any chance you will put those rims aside and put others on there so they remain in prestine original condition if it is going to be a keeper.
Yes i know it's your car and you will/can do what you like though.
Good luck with it:thumbs:

No drama's mate I appreciate your feedback - I'm still undecided on the wheels myself.
I'm hoping that eventually the opportunity will arise to get another set of genuine wheels.

Wow! Aren't the W427s just awesome. About time HSV brought some of that exlusivity that comes with buying a high end HSV. That will never date... the Walkinshaw V2 ;)
I recently entered a comp in MOTOR where you have a $500,000 garage and can buy a max of 3 cars each to serve a purpose. Here was my V8 paradise:
Daily: BMW M3 (the new V8s are sex on wheels)
Shopping/4 seater: Audi RS4
Weekend Track Toy: W427..... yum!
Nice choice, im waiting to see one in that new Voodoo blue i personally think that is Holdens best colour in the palette EVER.

Justifiably impressive Mark.
And the best thing about it ... NOT A BLOODY TURBO IN SIGHT !!!!
:swords:
White is definitely the shit and I reckon the wheels will grow on you.
Failing that ... go the Simmons, they work on any car and look sensational.
Congrats ... hard to imagine you could make an already impressive garage more impressive but you seem to keep finding ways.

I have decided that HSV can't take photos ... when they released the pics of these wheels I really didn't like them, but in every photo I have seen since they look shit hot !!!
IMO definitely DON'T change the wheels (different colour / same wheels is fine ...)

There is 5 colour options mate -
White,Red,Black,Evoke and the Silver.
When I ordered mine the only one I had seen was the MMS Panorama Silver so I was a bit unsure how the White would look.
Gotta say I'm stoked in the colour now that I have recieved the car.

I'm verrrry ENVIOUS! What a great gadget! A nice mild cam , a tune and maybe an exhaust (depending on what they have now) (and ensuring the OE items are carefully put aside) would just cap it off. Not too sure about the black rims, but each to his own. I actually like white wheels on a white car, and I had an XJS done like that and it looked great, but usually prefer silver....Boring old fart I suppose...:seldo:

I was going to say maybe just put another set of wheels on it in Black (something with a polished lip would be great) but looking at those pics above with the standard wheels in black work! I think do it if you can.
I also love your Coupe 4, I actually bought a few mags just to see that car. The colour combination from the Coupe 4 bodywork to the interior to the wheels is just outstanding. Worthy of its own thread I think :)

I see those coupe 4 and go why didnt I buy one but no matter how much I tried there was no way i could fit even with the seat so far back it looked stupid.
Took the next best thing in AWD V8 power and more than happy as the ave as great cars. It is the misses car now so really I could of got away with it as a passenger only though. Not quite as practicable.

Car looks awesome Mark. Very Very nice! Im against gloss back wheels but thats just my opinion and it comes from a maintaince POV. They swirl as eaisly as paint but are much harder to corect. If you do get them glossed make sure they are clear coated. Will make them much eaiser to work with

I just read the thread on the other site, good results so far.
For those that didnt see it Marks car (i asume) was put on the Autoteqnique dyno resulting in 290rwkw stock, 320 with a tune. Then they found a further 20kw with some fiddleing.
Shall be interesting to see if they/you get the 400rwkw thats been targeted.
I was dissapointed to see that it still has the stock rims, i mean you have had it for three days now :toetap: :hide:
I must check Autotecnique out they seem to be getting a realy good wrap atm.

Thanks Guys - I'm actually holding off on the wheels and will wait to see if I can get hold of a second set which I will paint.
There definitely appears to be plenty of potential in the LS7 engines with the guys at Autotechnique picking up a lazy 50rwkw in a couple of hours.
The 400rwkw is a little optimistic with the cam I have selected which is really only a very mild unit.I think if we end up with 370 - 380rwkw that is well mannered and reliable then it will be a complete package.
Cheers Mark
