Good job for an 18yr old! Having just taken delivery of one aswell, I must say that they are an impressive bit of kit!
Did the headphones and DVD remote come with your car? Or do you purchase them seperatly?
Cheers,
Adam

Very very nice MkdC4 ... this is the sort of thing I'd like to get my boys in when they are the right age, not slow / looks great / comfortable / safe.
Congrats mate ... take it easy on the road.

 Car is leased from Holden (Dad works for them) so yeah, didn't spend 55k on my first car :p
Couldn't really say no to the deal, eventhough I'm not allowed to mod it.
Love it, such a good car.
Recently got it back from repair cause I smashed it :(
Worst feeling, lost it doing stupid stuff...Need to learn how to control it properly.
As for the headphones and DVD remote, yeah they came with it.

Lucky no one was hurt mate, heres a tip, dont do stupid stuff LOL
A skid pan day will teach you a lot about you and your car so I advise you get to one of those ASAP.

Re: the highlighted section above, if you "lost it doing stupid stuff" do you really think it's the car you need to learn how to control???

Well seeing as though I've got no experience, yes I need to learn.
It made me realise how easy it is for things to go wrong...I was lucky no other cars were involved.
And please don't make the assumption that I'm some idiot P plater doing burnouts n sh*t...Cause I'm not :)
As for the ESP, yeah it was off....Not doing that anymore! lol

Its a good wake up call isn't mate. I found out the hard way that doing "stupid shit" isn't worth even thinking about!.
A good does of driver training should be made compulsory when you get your licence and then a refresher course every 5 to 10 years.
Enjoy the car. You've done VERY well.
Cheers,
Adam

An expensive lesson I guess but it could have been a lot worse ... at least it was only the car that got busted.
As for the ESP ... read other forums and every hero under the sun will tell you that you start the car by "turning the key / seatbelt on / ESP off" ... morons. Turn it off at the track otherwise leave it on 100% of the time, you probably wouldn't have had an accident if it had been on ...
:hmmm:
Anyway ... we all do dumb stuff when we're young, it's how we learn from it that counts.

Car is going back into repair tomorrow :(
There is a vibration whenever I turn left, caused by the smash. So need to get it fixed...

Where are they held at, do you know? (In Vic)
Wouldn't mind going :)

Yeahh I've got a defensive driving course coming up soon so that'll be alright.
But I want to like learn what it takes to lose it in my car and then see if I can control it...I'm scared to push it after the smash :( Don't really feel comfortable.
Don't really know where to be searching this kind of stuff...Any idea of where there's a skinpad in vic?
DECA!! lol
Here you go mate

The Shepparton one is the one to go to im told. Everyone i know that has done it has been amazed by what they learnt.
The road isnt the place to be finding limits (as you have discovered)

Thanks alot :)
The outline of the facility looks good, seems there is a skidpan there :D
Shepparton is ages away from me though, will have to organise it somehow.
Which course would you recommend? Which one would include the skidpan? :p
Most seem like defensive driving :S
