Is anyone round here into bikes? :D

Dont own one myself, but a few mates have some awesome bikes (and 2 other mates have nsr150's - lame :stick: )

One mate just bought a K6 Suzuki gsxr1000 in gloss/matte black. It's freaking porn, and sounds even better than it looks! :werd:

Nice garage Sonny, the most well appointed one ive ever seen

Nice bike though man very nice.

I rode a 98 ZX-6R for about 18 months, was looking after it for the parents of deceased best mate of mine.

Loved that bike, won bike of the year 98, loved and still love it.

Hey Sonny ... if the front door was big enough you would park the HSV in the lounge room too wouldn't you :lmao:

Always been very tempted to get a bike, but when we had kids I decided it would be nice for them to have a Dad while they grow up. Just couldn't do it in Sydney, too many psychos on the road. Maybe when I grow up I'll get one.

Nice bikes guys ... keep 'em coming. :D

This was always my dream bike:

Yamaha R1.

I finally got to ride a mates just before I stopped riding road bikes... and it played a big part in why I finally stopped riding.
Even for a lard arse like me, the power of the R1 made the sphinctor pucker something fierce. Awesome machine.

Spent a small amount of time instructing learners wanting to get their L plates but gave it away when I repeatedly dealt
with mostly young guys who'd been riding dirt bike and reckoned they knew it all. Ironically they were nearly always the ones
who'd fall off when doing the test :slap:

Turned to dirt bikes for a while on one of these:

KTM520EXC

This scared me more than the R1, ... but I figured dirt was softer than bituman. WRONG !!!!!
The front tyre was rarely on the deck. However, repeated get offs, 1 cracked helmet and much like Nick...
the pressing need to remain a dad and husband shelved this one too.

Good fun but definitely in the been there done that box.

I'll second that...very risky in todays traffic...However I 'm a SAD OWNER of a IT 250 Enduro which I take out with the boys...out on the dirt were it's SAFE..

I had always planned to get a cbr1000rr when I was able to, and when I had the cash.. dreaming since i was about 13..

My uncle loaned me a yz125 for a long while, and i rode it when i could, always had the moto bug..

Sadly, I won't buy a bike while I live in western sydney, there's just too many bike fatalities and accidents, i think it's almost one a day or something?

I`ve only had 3 bikes ,started out lerning on a CB360 Honda then got a Z7750 Kawasaki, then after about 10years off bought this GPZ 900R ,got it resprayed in the Yank colour scheme ( the same bike Tom Cruise rode in TOPGUN),and unfortunately the old girl hasnt been ridden in 3 yrs ,sitting in my garage.

3 regos and insurances is too much
