Hi Guys,

I am organising a Private Wakefield Track Day on Monday the 1st of December, I have around 3-4 spots available.

I have George and Andrew Miedecke coming with their Brute Ute and Tiburon, as well as a bunch of other cars including Evo X, Porsches, Cobras and maybe a GT40 replica.

The day is fairly relaxed, with fast/medium/slow sessions per hour.

(So we cater for semi-serious to fast-casual fun)

Everyone that comes has a ball and can't believe how much track time they get compared to a normal Track Day/Speed off the Streets Day.

We have race driver training from Michael Navybox (see Auto Action), included as well as timing and ambulance.

We have about 4 girls driving so other girls are most welcome too and won't feel intimidated.

Costs are about $200-$235 (depending on numbers), with a non-refundable (unless cancelled) deposit of $100 required. (Max 30 cars)

(We make no profit, we just run it for us)

We are all staying at Mike's Manor (motorsport themed place, check it out on the net) which is very reasonable.

If you are interested just drop me a line at tim.jacky@bigpond.com or give me a call on 0438818017.

First in gets the spots.

We have run a few of these days now and everyone is surprised how good it is, (just check out the photos from the last one in the events section).

Cheers,

Tim

P.S. Although we have fun we don't tolerate idiots, who don't respect other peoples machinery.

Hi Tim, thanks for posting, this may be a great op for PPL who cannot make the Trackchat Private hire of Wakey on Nov 19.

Thanks for posting, oh, and welcome to TC

No worries Tim, when you say "Us" who do you mean?

A forum? Post up the address and details mate, no worries with doing that here, unlike other small sandpits :D

We don't have a website.

Us means mainly me and my wife Jacky.

But it also means a group of drivers. We call ourselves "Mike's Apprentice's" as a bit of a joke and because Mike helps us out.
(After Mike Navybox Race Instructor)

Even though we call ourselves Mike's Apprentice's some of us are experienced track day campaigners, just trying to get like minded people together instead of the open slather of a Speed of the Streeets Day and just all pitch in for a not for profit day.

Eventually our doors will be closed to external people until we get a good base of regulars.

To do this you really need a basis of about 60-70 people to get enough to commit for 30-35 places so this is our ultimate goal.

Our idea for a day is to have Timing, Ambulance, and Instruction for each day so we cater for a wide variety of interests and skills, but still have fun.

The training helps ensure we have more safety for cars and people by way of increasing skill levels.

Also Mike caters for V8 Supercar Drivers and more, so it is rare for someone not to learn something from Mike.

We also try to have the Suzuki Swift Hire Race Cars come down for guys whose cars might not be running at the moment.

If you are interested in the swifts let me know.

Cheers,

Tim

We are also trying to get some Suzuki Swift Hire Race Cars up and running for the day, so if you have a mate who want's to come but does not have a car let me know and I will put you in touch with the guy organising it.

These are heaps of fun!

I thing it works out at about $70 for 10 laps + track costs, but I would have to check it out.

G'day Choppo,

Just send an email to tim.jacky@bigpond.com with all your details (name, car, mobile etc.)and email address and we will give you all the info. on how to pay the deposit, and we will include you on our email list for updates for the day.

Also if you want to stay down there for the night for a few beers afterwards, instead of heading back to Sydney, give Mike Navybox a call on 0417462664 and book yourself a room, it's very reasonable, including food. Just do a search on Mike's Manor to have a look, I think its like $75 a night including breakfast and dinner.

Hey Y55-7UT,

Spectators/Pitboys do not need to pay, but they will have to sign a waiver to be at our day and book in with me first.

This is a "Private Track Day" Limited to 30 spots, not a "Track Chat Day", though Track Chat People are most Welcome.

Most importantly though, you will need to book your spot in with me as a driver first and let me know your details.

You can do this by emailing me at tim.jacky@bigpond.com and we will forward you deposit details and what you need to know to be able to come on our day.

Cheers,

Tim

No Brett. Heard nothing. Realistically, I can't make it that day... too close & not ready. There are several open days in December, so hoping to make one of those. Got some unfinished business to take care of, 7/100 worth of unfinished business  .
