Alarm went in today, was at the local club for the famous $5 dinner, having a , i get a SMS from the car, i run, more like a brisk walk, to the car, it's parked away from everyone, a couple of guys were standing around giving me the 'shit man, i swear i didnt touch it' followed by heaps of questions and a couple more

The car has Microwave sensors for movement, shock for touch, tilt for wheels, SMS Fuel cut off for highjack/stolen keys, works of factory remotes, tracking all built in, piezo screamer in the cabin thats insainly loud... installed its about $800. Best peace of mind for my ride!

Hey mate, welcome and ,man you ride is sweeeeeeeet

I love the alarm to, great by the sounds of it and a good price IMHO.

Post up some more pics in the "your car my car thread", looking great.

Youll have to throw it on a track for a spin.

Hi Carl,

I gotta get one of your alarms installed soon. Piece of mind is right, plus the fact your car can send you SMS messages is pretty cool.

Beautiful car mate, its going to look nice on a track.

Cheers,

Scott

Hey Carl,

Welcome mate, good to see you found our hide out. :up2sum:

I love that pic of your car, the black and white with the red calipers looks awesome ... nice work.

I need to speak to you about that sort of alarm setup for the Coupe 4, sounds awesome, covers every angle. Not sure I'm entirely happy with what I have ATM. What sort time frame to install that sort of system, full day ???

Welcome to TrackChat mate.

I'm interested in the alarm too. Looked at a similar setup for the boat a few years ago, it was $1000's ($3K?) for that sort of functionality, sounds as though they've come down in price heaps.

If you want details on the alarm, drop me a PM :)

Around $800, install takes half a day or so, installer comes to you in syd metro. For interstate, i know most installers in AU/NZ, so i can give you the clostest installer to talk to.

Castle Hill Exhuast copped my rear mufflers out today, turning the R8 from a 307Kw beefy sounding vacum cleaner to a reasonably deap, beefy V8... Little bit of drone, not much, need to hear it from outside more...

Have you let someone drive you car yet? Get out and watch it drive past, I didnt do that for about a year and when I did I was like "hmmmm I drive a nice lookin car" :nutbag:

Do that and get them to gas it so you can hear the new exhaust also.

Yeah, the wife fanged it up the road yesterday, deffinately a big improvment :)

Sounds good when you off throttle at high revs to, enough racking and poping to sound tuff, but not stupid

RTA stuffed me around waiting for the new plates, they say 3 weeks max on the web site, but they say they havnt updated it regarding certain plates.. They say they only run the plates at a certain time of the month, so sometimes you get them within a week, other times you have to wait upto 5 weeks :headbang:

I cant stand those yellow plates

Bugger ... I'm with you on the yellow plates, I hate the things, completely ruins the look of a car.

The plan is that our plates will be on the GTS when I pick it up, which by the way could be this week. :yahoo:
