Stopped in here yesterday to get some new wiper blades for the better halfs car. Dont know if you have bought any recently but there is about 40 to choose from!!

Anywho a nice young lass (round 17) called Elizabeth came to my rescue. She asked what sort of car it was etc this is where the service started

Mazda 2's wipers are 8mm. Thats a weird size so she got me some good 6mm wipers then went outside cut them to size and with my permission adjusted all the guides to accept the 6mm wipers snuggly. It works like a dream now and wipers will be much eaiser to purchase!!

So if you need honest advice and good service go to Autobarn speak to Elizabeth and you will be surprised.

Dan, 6mm and 8mm are both common sizes, they are usually designed to be cut down, i think 650mm is the standard length. Some with metal backs have notches about an inch apart and are designed to be broken in those sections by folding the metal back, they snap and dont bend. Once broken to your desired length cut the rubber with a blade or side cutters to match the metal strips, the plastic back ones just need to be cut with side cutters.

Actually i did not. I operate on a policy of full disclosure  (most of the time  )

Yeah apparantly the 8mm ones are harder to find. I looked a couple of weeks back in Repco as well as Kmart when i was wondering through and had no joy so now ill just stick with the 6mm
