Hey fellas lets rack your brains?
I have major problem with my car, it wont drive straight.
First of all it is an LH Torana 9" diff set up.
The car drove straight before I raised the rear suspension. The only reason I raised it is because the outside of the tyre rubbed on the guard.
Now the springs were replaced and the shocks as well.
Problen on burnout the car pulls instantaniously to the drivers side, I mean to full lock. (looks ridiculous and cant put any heat into slicks)
Problem under power the car pulls to the drivers side before the gear change the car is practically on the wall. Not very safe.
Is there anyone out there that has experienced this or knows how to rectify the problem PLEASE??????
Have you corner weighted your car? You should have more preloaded weight on the drivers side rear to run straight. Have you measured the circumference of both tyres?

Im replacing the slicks due to vertical tear on one and the old ones will be checked for circumference as well as the new ones. Whats this corner weighting the car, who would be able to help me with that. ( in Perth )
I,m not sure which company's in perth do corner weighting, i've always borrowed the scales off people. The other thing is which nights are you running at the plex because if its just wednesdays its always bad for doing that because the street cars with open centre diffs tear the rubber of the right side of the track so you get wheel spin with your right tyre and drive with your left which tries to drive the car hard right.

The car is a super sedan runs on fridays till this problem can be sorted then nationals only.
Has it got a built 4 link set up? If you measure from front to rear axle line left and right sides to make sure its square and you check the tyre circumference then it will eliminate the simple things. Hers a bit of reading about drag set ups for live axles http://racingarticles.com/article_racing-50.html
If your down at the Western nationals at the plex on the weekend come and introduce yourself, i'm the black ss ute in super sedan SS/A 3485 and i should be able to steer you to some people who mite be able to help you.

Just replaced the top arms with adjustables & the left tyre has 5mm more circumference than the right one?
