well thought i would display some rice it's my track car as i stoped using the evo as we were getting some silly times i thought i would use something that made me drive smarter rather than point and shoot. Comparison would be EVO = Shotgon MR2 = Air rifle

Best time so far at eastern creek is a 1.50.59
Best at Wakefield is a 1.10.67 in the wet

Actualy we have done some major suspension work to this nugget and has gone from a 1.58 to a 1.50 at eastern creek so far but i think there is a 1.47-48 in it as it is.

Certainly does i've tried an upgraded sidemount and blew and melted the pistons as intake temps were at 90+ deg so i changed to a water to air and same result, changed to this setup and doesn't go over 40 degrease c no matter how much i rape it.

where do you think that 2-3 seconds is?
not having a go but that last 1/2 a second is always the hardest.
So the 2-3 second mark is normally another $5-10 grand.....

I am going through turn 1 at 180 kph and am able to hold it flat with no prob's so maybe 5th gear at 190/195 kph turn 2 and three i know i can gain 1/2 a second as i never D/Apexed turn 2 + always been an in between gear 2nd or 3rd. 2nd to aggressive and 3rd real laggy. Turn 9 same problem as 2 shit gearing and 11 and 12 could be done faster and cleaner. + Had a pro driver take the car out and give me a benchmark 1.46.6 so i need to drive better :cry:

Its always good to have someone else drive the car, same thing with my car mate last year I was literally cruising round doing 1.26 at out local track... the nephew got in the car and did a 1.23:teach:

A lot of guys develop the car to go quicker thinking they cant drive the car any faster but sometimes its the peanut behind the wheel that needs development-seat time

Daniel do you use a vbox or some sort of lap timer you can data log. Duncan and I have swapped some data for our ec laps, was just going through them tonight. My best lap I hit 228km/h on the straight, enter 1 at 185 and exit at 165 up to 194 before 2.

If you do have some data I would be interested to have a look at it.

Agree but we have wankers for pollies and racetracks dont win votes and letting Perrich build the new track on his land is not viable for the Gov as it wont get any revenue from it. So no new track for NSW which is a big thumbs down in my book

Went out to eastern creek on wednsday to test the new turbo setup on the car ( Bloody Fn HOT) a 50% increase in power and dont you know it:scared: I was able to do a 1.50 in the first session when we melted the brake booster hose in the engine bay and the brakes were a nightmare to use but i am sure I can get into the 1.47s with this setup. We have enterd the car in the wakefield 300 so will be interesting to see how it goes against some of the better car's

Thanks Paul it is a fun car to steer will also be out on the 5th of December at Eastern Creek so hopefuly I can crack that 1.47. We wont be doing the wakefield 300 as there were only 2 Drivers and I couldn't commit to the weekend for work reasons

Hi mate yeh we went to the creek on the Auto sports day but we had Drama's still with the Braking and Clutch Master cylinder but we still managed a 1.52 :nopity: in the first session just disapointed I did not get full sessions in

Car looks really good Dan, paintwork is a big improvement even tho it is a DIY you wouldn't know.

But time will tell the new twin plate clutch should help and the new clutch supplied for the new engine could not cope so we were down on were we should have been. That was our first event ever and I think it was a very good one but I will need to get more in this year the 1 day ATC is looking as as maybe ATM.
