To save this getting buried in the drag thread ...

A little something extra (among many things ;)) for those attending the private drag day in June.

Greg (forum member Phreddy) from ASR audio will be in attendance & spectating at the TrackChat drag day.

He's very generously offered a special deal for any trackchat members with VT-VZ Commodores that would like some simple yet special touches done to their Commodores.

Apologies to the non Commodore owners attending. :)

The modifications he's able to perform for people are simple and good value including the following:

Activation of police mode.
DTC reading and clearence.
Speedo cals.
Customised dash logos HSV/Chev etc (VY-VZ Commodores only) with some custom text displayed.

Anyone wishing to get any of these mods done would preferable pre-arrange with Greg prior to the day but as always ... these things can be worked out. ;)

Pricing guide for those interested:

Police mode - $20
Speedo cal - $30
Basic DTC cleardown - $20 (ABS/SRS fault, etc... make that CE light go away.)
DTC analysis - $30 (for example, run the diagnostic and report current error codes to user)
Combinations - TBA with Greg

Good deal there people ... esp when you consider what Holden would charge you for the privilege!!

If you think you'd like any of these simple yet tasteful mods, let me know or get in touch with Greg directly.

To give you an idea of what police mode/digital speedo on VY-VZ looks like:

Wow, great deal! I have been wanting the digital speedo as I missed it after my last car. It would be for a 2004 series III Monaro (VYII equivalent dash I think).

Do you loose any features by enabling the Police mode?

im pretty sure you loose speed alert when you activate the digital speedo

It's awesome to be on board with this fellas! I'm really looking forward to it.

Toey, you're correct. The speed alert feature is lost once cop mode is set - I've only ever met one bloke though who decided that was more important to him than the digi speedo. I for one have my SA set at a ridiculous speed - that the SV6 probably wouldn't even get to, unless downhill with a substantial tailwind... ;) - because it's such a pain in the bum!

The only thing I HAVE noticed after activating cop mode sometimes, is that the needle can actually read a couple of kays either side of what's shown in the digi readout. This can be corrected, but it requires a little more work than can be done trackside... :driving:

A courteous bump again for ASR Greg's offer at the upcoming drag day.

Anyone considering any of the mods mentioned ... grab this opportunity with both hands.

Pricing when compared to Holden is nothing short of sensational but I suppose the Holden price does include a free arse reaming. :potty:

Quality if Greg's work = second to none and money well spent.

I suspect he can but probably best to PM him for a definite answer.
