Hey guys,
thought i should show you all my other toy,
This is my weekender / resto project in the middle of having nothing to do with a race car, a rally car being built and trying to build the missus a ta-22 celica with a 3sgte in it.
These photos are a few years old now, and were before the resto began (all be it very slowly)
Its a 79 alfetta 2 lt twin cam with twin 40mm sidedraughts on it,
I put a gtv6 interior in it, Recaro buckets and bucket style rears.
At the moment we are doing all the mechanical side of things then we will start on the body. rust is a feature and a factory option with Alfa's.

well guy's,
as off tomorrow there will be another car in the already full backyard. 6 geminis,an alfa, a citroen (i know but i paid $50 for a 2lt turbo with leather seats) car trailer, box trailer, boat and trailer, my road car, my dads road car,my 2 sis's road cars, the tow 4wd and the mums company car.........................
today i bought a 84 guilietta of ebay.....
fully running but a wrecked body....
the motor will go on a stand and get built.....
to a fairly tough n/a 2lt.....
the rest of the driveline will become spares......
the body will get scrapped......(its ugly anyway)
will post a few photo's soon of the strip down.....
Ive got a few cashies to do first and before them the race car before the next round needs a few little bits and pieces........ before the hoist becomes clear for this purpose......

That's a bloody tidy unit mate. Well done. :bravo:

A mate of mine used to have one of those but in a cream colour. The zorst sound was pure horn but his was a daily driver.

The amount of time the thing spent with the bonnet up was rather disturbing.

And BTW ... 6 geminis? spot the circuit racer. :hide: :)

I'm looking at one currently as a bit of a play thing. 1980 T?, 1 owner, 60000km, original spare and ferris am/fm radio & VINYL as far as the eye can see. :woot:

Nice Fiat. :)

It looks to be in pretty good shape for a 30 year old car, you redoing it in the same colour or is it getting a change?

Um yeah we have a few gemini's.
they are a great little car and you can do heaps with them!
as for the colour of the alfa i think i will leave it that colour.
I wanna delete the black door strips.
Those photos are 3 or 4 years old now....at that time it was my daily driver.
They are an awesome car..........3 days a year....the rest of the time you need to have a car trailer and a dad who likes driving!lol.
As Jeremy Clarkson said, "you cant say you are a car nut until you have felt the incredible high's and the lowest of lows by owning a Alfa Romeo"
Thanks guys,
I'll post some pics up of the interior i have grafted in.

Im excited bout this!
All of a sudden i have the drive to get back to playin with this sort of thing on the weekends!
so the main question is still to be answered...............
Race car or road car?
