Hi all... have just stumbled across your forum so thought I'd sign up.
Been racing in supersprints for a number of years now - getting into Improved production next year. Always on the look out for more track days to do.
Anyway, just thought I'd say hi, will go and lurk around the forums and put my 5c in here and there!
Cheers
Dave

Welcome Dave, where are you located? Do you do supersprints through a local club? If you get time, post up some pics of your cars in the media gallery.

Located on the northern beaches of Sydney.
Been supersprinting in the state championship - as a member of the MR2 Club. Lots of fun, can't recommend supersprinting highly enough!
Have posted a couple of pics in the my ride section.

Hi dave
Welcome to the chat. Another racer now hey? Far out where gunna have Skafiey and co here soon!
What series do you race in? A friend of mine on here (Blacktoppirate) his dad races a Series 3 Rx7 in the production sports car series. A very very nice car - 190hp at the rear wheels with no blower. The sound of this thing inside the garages at eastern creek when its warming up on idle is unreal
P.s good to see you like cars from the land of the rising sun :D

Yeah thanks Guys - northern beaches are a great area to be! I think I've probably seen a few of you V8 boys around!
Cheers Hethro, have just bought the race car - will be racing in Improved Production next year. Also planning on running in the Motor Racing Australia series at Wakefield. (Incidentally the Corona has 175hp at the wheels - NA - 2 litre)
Have been a Toyota fan for ages, bought the Evo in NZ in 2005 and brought it back into the country at the end of the year.

Pftt beaches, overrated - come to Concord and hang out at the hosptial with the stars from All saints hahah :stick: Like i can talk my dad lived on the beaches for ages: Manly then Balgowlah then finally Pittwater now he's in Thailand!
Good old Toyotas! Good to finally have a toyota fan on board! Did you ever hear about that 60 series Landcruiser that did 850,000 km outback driving and never had any mechanical breakdowns? Only the regular servicing did the job :D
Might see you down at the Track soon. Watch out for a yellow RX7 that sounds like thunder at idle and has a 'unique' colour scheme!

Thanks, will keep a look out. We generally race at the NSW rounds, so will see the Prod sports too.

Look forward to hearing some track tails and advice from you.

Sure is. We might even get a run together at a track next year if all goes well! I would love to get to one of the Sydney tracks and I am aiming to get to Wakefield especially, plus a couple of days at Winton, some driver training at Sandown and Calder, and if I am very fortunate - Phillip Island.

Let me know when you've going to be at Wakefield in particular. Would love to do a race meeting at Winton also this year - will be looking out for a VIC state round to attend there.

I am hoping there will be a forum organised WP track day mid 2007, to give me a chance to get the new wheels (VE SS) up to speed, esp in the brakes dept. Winton is a great track, and the fundays they have are a good opportunity to let your hair down in a controlled environment, and for $25, you cant go wrong!

Wow, $25 is sensational. Almost makes it cheap enough even when you factor in the fuel costs to tow the car there!

Yeah it's good value. You get heaps of track time, and they use the full national (3km) circuit too. In the last 12 months or so they have added a BP Ultimate fuel supply too so you dont have to use the Shell stuff if you dont want to, and you dont have to bring extra fuel or leave the circuit to refuel. And trust me, last one I went to in my Evo, I used almost a full tank for just 100 km of track time :D

That is outstanding value! Almost worth a mass pilgrimage down to Mexico for a visit!:stick:

I might have to get Big Trev to sign up here, he organises the fun days. He can post all the details and dates.
