i thought id share my pride and joy with everyone!
specs + details are:
its a white 2005 Vz ss (auto)
Mods were carried out by Justin and Christian at RUSSO Performance and they include:
Ls3 crate
custom cam shaft ( something in the 230's, along with the rest of bits and pieces ie springs ect)
4500 lockup stall converter
full s/s extractors (1 3/4) and exhaust (twin 3') ,
3.7 diff ratio ( awaiting 3.9s)
russo otrcai
russo custom tune.
slotted brakes.
it pulled 330rwkw
we took it to wsid a few weeks ago with just street m/t's and nearly a full tank of fuel ( i dont know why i filled it up :slap: ) and managed back to back 11.2's ..hopefully have a crack at 10's a bit later..

... managed back to back 11.2's
FAAAAAAAAAAAAARK ... that's an impressive 1st outing, can't wait to see you get booted come Sunday.
:stick:
Well done guys, how good are these LS3's ...
Just out of interest mate, have you got an ANDRA licence ? If you run 11's on Sunday without one they'll give you the boot. Technically anything capable of running 11's needs an ANDRA licence.
If you do have one ... can you PM me the number.

What tyre and wheel combo do you run at the drags?
Will you look at getting a cage fitted if/when you run a 10?

im not all that sure to be honest , pritty much just street mts , i'll hopefully have a set of front runners for the pd and put them on later in the day and have a crack at the 10 , as for a cage im not sure yet , maybe a bit later down the track.

Shane you're welcome to borrow my Weld frontrunners mate, they're at Russo's....in return for...posting up that photo of you going backwards on your first run, its a classic :)
If my first pass was in a car as powerful as your's i would've done the same thing...except i would have probably hit the wall :o Nice save!

quick update
i picked up my car from the boys at RUSSO last night after getting the 4.11's put in , i took her for a little drive last night to see how they go and WOW!! the take off is a big improvement over the 3.7s ( once it stops spinning the tyres (eventually) also alot more of a "torquey" feel once the put the boot in.. (havent had a chance to take her on the freeway yet to see how it revs ) cant wait to test her at the PD day!

best was 11.2 @ 120mph with a lazy 1.6 60ft , went out with 20's on the front and worn out street mts on rear , full weight , chris has a recording of the run , hopefuly he can put it up when he gets time.

there was some wheel spin , im still trying to find the right stall rpm at the start , i tried at 1500rpm and seemed to be ok maybe ill go a bit lower next time maybe 1200 or something.
i arrived at the track at around 6:45 and i got 3 runs in , my mate got there at 5:30 and still only managed 4 runs , there was a delay of around 20mins due to a car having an oil leak and leaving trails of it down the track..

the russo boys and i headed out last night to give my vz ss a workout ,
60ft 's were down due to traction issues , justin & chris still managed to get a pb for my car ...
runs were as followed
1st: 11.413 @ 123.69 mph , 1.78 60ft
2nd: 11.341 @ 123.02 mph , 1.76 60ft
3rd: 11.326 @ 123.54 mph , 1.74 60ft
4th and final: 11.185 @ 123.45 mph , 1.68 60 ft
the car was getting better with every run , and some nice peddling by justin , with the mph and the way the cars going a 10sec pass is not far away... Chris has some footage of the runs.
