Do You Want a Future in Motorsport?

Would you like to find out how to get into motorsport, and the Australian Motor Racing Series, as a driver or as a crew member? Are you already a competitor, and would like to expand your professional knowledge, or pass some of the knowledge you have already onto new competitors?

Then the Australian Motor Racing Series Motorsport Expo is for you. Designed to be an open, friendly and informative session (just like the whole of the AMRS), the Expo will be held in conjunction with Goulburn's Wakefield Park circuit, and will incorporate one of Wakefield Park's Open Practice "Speed Off the Streets" sessions.

The expo will feature:

Displays of cars, equipment and teams

The opportunity to learn more skills

Lectures and displays, with subjects ranging from the basic licencing and procedures to get started in motorsport, to how a race meeting operates, to racing car technology and development, and information from the various categories of the AMRS

Learn about the range of options available if you want to drive, from lease deals where you arrive and drive, to building your own race car, and everything in between - there will be people on hand who have done it all, and can give advice on what to look out for, and what constitutes a good deal

The track will also be available for open practice, with experienced driver trainers on hand to provide advice and tips

The expo is in the true spirit of the Australian Motor Racing Series - making motorsport exciting, affordable and accessible.

Attendance at the expo will be free. A sausage sizzle and drink lunch special will be available for only $5. Open practice will be subject to the normal charges, available from the Wakefield Park website: www.wakefieldpark.com.au

Allan, are you thinking of going for the displays/discussions and/or the open day? I might go, but was wondering how much time will be available for the open day on-track sessions.

yeah, I think it's about time I embarrass myself with a bit of roundy stuff. I'm not too fussed if there aren't heaps of laps available, just to start getting to grips with it on the track would suffice.

"Edit"

Just realised this is next Sunday.... can't make it anyway, Fishing Club Xmas party.

I must be going crazy. Thought I posted in this thread the other day. Unless the subject matter wasn't appropriate? Anyway sounds like it would be a great day out there.
