I have finally got "a into g" and had the T56 High Temperature Rare Earth Magnetic especially manufactured, found a nice tidy Brass bung, machined a hole in the centre with our lathe and glued the extremely powerful magnet in to the bung with a metal glue and we have the first T56 High Temperature Rare Earth Magnetic Drain Bungs. :)

As you can see they are extremely powerful so if you have a few 40cm x 1-1/2" open end ring spanners like this on floating round in your T56, this magnet will be sure to grab it and hold it from being forced by the oil flow through load bearing areas damaging your T56.
This product will extend the life of the Mainlube 154 Synthetic Solid Boundary E P Gear Oil as we would normally only change this oil when we see metal in the oil with the Filtergram Wear Metal Analysis.
Normal wear and tear won't make metal in the T56 when using the Mainlube 154 however, if you have a rip shift fitted and you like the odd "fast gear change" then you could easily knock a little metal off the bulk ring as you select 2nd and put small chips of metal in your oil.
This little baby will grab and hold that metal as it travels past in the oil flow and stop any damage from such metal to your T56.
A great investment that will last the life of the vehicle unless you bash the magnet with a hammer and break it, then it won't last for ever.
These are available from Mainlube or Sonny @ Marrano's
I will bring about 10 to the Track Chat race day at WSID if you want one.
Cheers
Steve
If you modify your power, then you should modify your protection and run a 10w60.
A manufactures job is to supply you with a component and guide you how to
service it so lasts long enough for you to be happy with the money you spent.
Mainlube's job is to try and make that component last twice as long or in most cases, longer.
