Bye VE SS Hello WRX

Thats right good bye to our holden vess and welcome to our new subaru wrx hatch. Its not exactly new but its the next best thing, its a subaru aus vehicle that has 2750klm on the clock and has an extra 2yrs factory warranty that subaru aus is suppling due to it being one of their vehicles.
The reason? well everyone allways likes a new car:D but honestly we were wanting to downsize to a smaller car but most importantly it still had to be quick.
We wont get the car till next week due to the weekend being here and the time frame to sort the paper work out, the bad thing about this is that my wife and the kids are in sydney with me atm in the ss but they are going home tomorow but will have to come back down next week, lucky enough ill still be here.

Looks very nice, i wasnt really a fan of the new shape when it first came out but they dont seem that bad any more.

Any mods planed?

As you said carey it aint no turbo forrester but when we went to a dealer on wednesday to check out a forrester they also had a white wrx there that we looked at and that caught our eye as well, so when we went to another subaru dealer and seen the blue wrx there it helped sway the decision.
This being an 09 model has the 195kw motor standard as compared to the 08 with 169kw.
If there was the forrester and wrx side by side in the same $ and condition we probly would have got the forrester but finding a s/h manual that wasnt the same price as new was impossible.

Good news is we had a phone call earlier tonight saying the papers were done and we can take our car home tommorow intsead of making another trip down next week.

Turbo back exhuast and lowering springs is all you need for that bad boy!

Turbo back exhaust will happen eventualy but the lowering might never come, after driving around in the lowered ve for a couple of years we were getting sick of it bumping and scraping everywhere, this was the reason we were looking for a forrester as i wouldnt lower it.
Ill keep it standard height for the time being.

Na dave the mods will be very limited.

Yeah I agree with you about the lowering business I wouldnt lower mine at all I get scared enough going over speed humps etc!

Ok cool, ill be easy on it. Recent review in MOTOR says the car needs some better brake pads, stock ones are a bit meh.

Cant tell you really i only drove the car on the test drive of about 3-5km, my wife drove it home so she has covered about 400-500klm in it so far, She's impressed:yahoo: .
