Really looking forward to see if he can make that Ferrari any faster!!!
Would be even better to see Webber beat him:rolleyes:

I dont know much about F1 (practically nothing) but the pressure on him to be at least as quick will be pretty huge.
i wonder what will happen if ferrari start to win again when michael comes back?also what will top gear without there stig?lol

How would you feel if your name was Marc Gene or Luca Badoer (Ferrari's F1 test drivers). One of the regulars pilots has a smash, here's you big chance to step up and they go for some old German clod who thinks he is the Stig! :jk:

Even in "retirement" Schuey has a pretty big hand in development / setup of the F1 car ...
I'm certain he has driven the current car plenty of times and I'd place big bucks that he would outpace Gene and Badoer easily ... why would they stick him in the car if he couldn't ?

He's quoted as saying he hasn't driven this years car, which I agree in previous years would not be a problem for Schumi, but this year the cars are a fair bit different with the regenerative systems and full slicks etc...
I don't think he will struggle but I'd be surprised if he was on pace with Raikkonen, hopefully I'm wrong.

I'm not sure about Raikkonen though. But Ferrari/Schuie would not even attempt it if they thought there was a chance they'd end up with an eggie face. I'm sure his comparative times at Fiorano must be very favourable with Raikkonen, and better than Gene/Badoer which is why he has the gig.
Just hope Webber wipes the smirk off his face....sigh....dreams on...

I agree Seldo.....Schumi wont have a problem....remember guys he did his time in the cars that had the same power and none of the driving aids and alot less tyre and brake technology.........
and he has still been racing....all be it on bikes and testing, but his eye is still well and truly in!
I think that Webber should be able to beat him....the red bull team have a great package this year..the best thing that happened to Webber was Vettel....a team mate that could push him!.....based on current car speeds and the way the year has gone so far!
But it can all change in a heartbeat!

Best at what ... I remember reading a very long analysis by Martin Brundle once comparing Schumacher & Senna ... trying to come to a conclusion about which was the best.
His conclusion was that head to head Senna would be on pole but Schumacher would win the race.

He will take prob 3 or 4 races to get use to the car and then look out.....if the car is reliable...which it should be (based on last year) he will be at the front!
I think a championship this year is probably out of the question but if he signs for 2011 i reckon its his!

Just think bout Imola in 94, Schumacher blew him away all year....Senna knew that something was gonna happen....he couldnt take the pressure....
There is only enough room for one great one each generation.......
That is why Prost and Senna had so many clashes.....cause they were so close to each other talent wise it wasnt funny!
But i think it is wrong to compare them, They had to learn in very different environments.
His bean counters told him he's not got enough in the fund? :D
Can't wait to see him hit the track again!

Great!......But not!
He's a fantastic talent....but totally unsporting and I'd almost call him a cheat.
If I'd ever used his his tactics I'd hang my head in shame.
More's the pity - he doesn't need to - he is skilled enough to win without being a total Lloyd Bridges....

Interesting topic.
I had a chat with a horse jockey once about pulling horses up (etc). He explained that he doesn't ride winners, he rides horses. If the owner tells him to ride a certain way, he does it. If he doesn't, he soon runs out of rides.
I wonder how many of the decisions the drivers make are their own, and not the team owners/tacticians.

It's a shame that a few incidents over a career can land that sort of label on you ...
No doubt he's turned in on a few cars over his career, but who hasn't ? It's F1 and it usually ends bad so that means they shouldn't do it ? If Schuey is a cheat then Lowndes & Ingall must be the biggest cheats motor racing has ever seen. Don't get me wrong, I love Lowndes & Ingall ...
Now Coulthard ... blocking in the rain and lifting mid-straight ... :flip2:
look what ross braun did in 1 year with the new car and package he had.i think this will be one of the best f1 seasons to come.would love to see shumacher will do to lewis hamilton after there racing incidents in the past.
i think it is great for f1 that he is coming back.lets hope he still can drive like he used to.

You should read James May's book about Schuie titled The Edge of Greatness - gives some insight to the true Schumacher - to win at any cost.
BTW - for those aren't old enough to remember - Lloyd Bridges' show Sea Hunt spawned the saying that someone was a "Loyd Bridges" (meaning that they were a Sea Hunt, ( Sea unt....)....get it.......? ;)
